I’ve just ordered a S9P from the IN STOCK URL.
Hoping it would ship from an in stock warehouse?

Well, I think maybe suunto E-shop team has made some mistakes,
If I understand, they use Magento as the e-shop? and they might set wrong product stock number for different root e-shop, /ecom/ and /sports-watches/ , @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos
-
@zhang965 no but please keep this to you.
-
Just a little say: I deleted your 2 posts just for the urls. Ping me back if you think that’s not ok.
My intention is that customers that have subscribed and wait get it first. As they should.
So lets not leak it 🥳
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos fair enough -
Although the website really needs fixing…seems a bit odd to get different availability based on which of two equally obvious clicks you take from the front page.
-
@nigel-taylor-0 but that’s how it works. What fixing should it have ?

Hmm…
Surely, if I…
Go to the website of a local event organiser, click to view all their races, and then click on a specific race from that list, and it says “yup - places are available - please buy one”.
vs
Go to the website of a local event organiser, click directly on a specific race (the same one) they’re advertising on their front page, and it says, “sorry, that race is full”
…then there is a problem to solve!?
This is an exact copy of the Suunto 9 Peak situation. It lists as available and not-available, depending on what you clicked before - that’s wrong surely?
-
@nigel-taylor-0 the reason is the email special link and the same reason I deleted your post. One link has limited availability for the email subscribers and customers of Suunto who subscribed , while the other is for the general public that lists not available.
You can subscribe to availability of the product and we reserve for you one space for a limited amount of time.
I don’t see anything bad about that or that needs fixing.
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos
loyal Suunto customers get a tiny bit prioritized… I think it’s fair -
@freeheeler well. The link is for both customerz or not. I think that is fair.

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos
the chance favours the prepared -
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos “One link has limited availability for the email subscribers and customers of Suunto who subscribed , while the other is for the general public that lists not available”
Not sure that is the case: both links are public and you can navigate to either one depending upon which way you view products.
e.g. If I click the big advertisement link from the home page it says peak “out of stock”, but
if I instead use the menu at the top of the page “Products” > “Sports watches” > “Show all sports watches” then it shows the peak as in stock. -

All links from suunto site will show out of stock,
But you set an alert in the S9P page, you will be informed by an email, in this email, you can get the in stock page url
-
@zhang965 not for me, if I navigate as I have stated above then it shows peak as in stock.
quick screen grab…

This isn’t correct.
Visiting the Suunto site (from the UK) - I can buy a S9P, they’re in stock if you just click to view all products and then select the watch. No special promo or anything.
Click the big advert from the front page, and it says they’re out of stock.
It makes no sense!

The bit that needs fixing is its NOT a ‘special’ or hidden link.
Its a link freely available when browsing Suunto.com - there’s no limited availability or anything, anyone can click ‘show all sports watches’ ️?
