      Hello
on my HR Belt i had to change the battery - did so and worked fine!
Went to the lake for a swim, with the HR belt on.

a day later i found out my belt to not connect to my suunto.
i also found out the battery place was not closed properly and some water went inside. So i think the device is dead.

should i just get a new suunto HR belt or would there be something better which would connect to my suunto or a Polar H10, or something else?

      have a nice day

@vinc14 I’m also curious to learn more about suggestions.
I have a H10. Garbage, replaced the belt, still garbage.
Bought a new H10, even more garbage.
        Maybe is a me thing.
Maybe is my hairy chest (as mentioned in the support page).
Maybe is static (as mentioned in the support page, my clothes usually feel full of static).
At least 90% of my runs have bad readings (can be low as 50bpm up to 220 bpm)

Looking around about the Garmin HRM devices but maybe is time to realise that the proper and best solution is the Coros Armband. Wondering if the Garmin HRM wouldn’t have the same issues as the H10, in case is a “me thing”.

@jjorgemoura I have the Garmin HRM Pro+ and it has worked well. They no longer sell it that I am aware of, but I was looking at the HRM 200 as a replacement. The belt on my Pro+ is off and curling. It can be very uncomfortable.

I also had issues with a H10. When it worked it was great, but toward the end it had so many drops. I wish Suunto would turn OHR back on when the signal from a strap goes silent, but it does not.

I would also look at the Suunto strap, but it only allows one BT connection and no ANT+ so that is a no go for me.

I have a Coros band and it is really good. It has given the exact same readings as a functioning H10 or Garmin HRM when tested. Problem is if you want to have Zonesense it does not work.

@Stavrogin Yeah, the Zonesense is the only reason that has been preventing me to buy the Coros Armband. TBH I have not used Zonesense for a while (well, the H10 doesn’t work) so maybe is a false issue.
With H10 (or just the watch for an extent) I don’t have HR thus no Zonesense.
With Coros Armband I have, at least, HR.

I’m thinking why investing in another chest strap just to, maybe, get poor results again instead of investing in a definitive and reliable solution immediately?

I have a Polar H9 (beside the strap is the same as a H10, just cheaper) which consumed batteries like creasy, but with the latest firmware update is fixed.

I also have a Polar OH1+, which is an optical sensor you wear on your upper arm (or attach it to your swimming goggles). It’s an older model, but the sensor is the same as the new verity sense, just cheaper (although the verity sense has some extra functions, you might or might not need).

Overall, optical sensors on watches never worked for me, but the OH1+ works pretty good. It is rechargeable, which I think is a advantage. Most of the time I find it slightly more comfortable than a chest strap, although, since your arm moves while running, there might be some need for readjusting the position
