@HonzaS an hotfix that should address the seemingly random reboots that some users are experiencing on Vertical 2 and Race 2 is being released between today and tomorrow, in waves.

@isazi hope there is more to come for the other watches as well.
My Race S restarted mid-run yesterday. 6th or so random reboot over the course of almost 2 years. The single most frustrating issue…

I don’t care whether the battery lasts a day shorter than it used to be in the beginning, but the watch must not restart during an activity…

@2b2bff it is a hotfix for the Q2 release, so it is only coming for the watches that got it (Vertical 2 and Race 2). New firmware versions for Race and Race S are being tested, but I guess they will be released as a new release and not an hotfix.

@isazi I get that. I just want to remind that the Q2 firmware isn’t the only one that has reboot issues. If the newer firmware coming for the Race S fixes the old issues as well, I happily take it… 🙂

If it is a fix for a bug that is introduced with the Q2 firmware update (for the race 2/vertical 2) it is unlikely it will also fix a bug that was already in an older firmware. Given that 6 reboots in 2 years is quite less frequent than users reported with the Q2 firmware, it’s probably not the same problem.

And of course, 6 crashes in 2 years is way too much. I only had 1 in just over one and a halve year. Obviously it happened in a race.

On the other hand, if the supposedly new firmware for the race/race s is based on the Q2 release of the race 2/vertical 2 firmware, I hope they also apply the hotfix.
