Hi
Context
- I am using Suunto Race S / Suunto Race 2
- I prefer not to use the “Feeling” feature after an acvitity
- I turn off “Feeling” for each activity mode individually
- Every time I update the software on my watch, each activity is automatically set to “Feeling” as “ON”
Feature Request
Under Settings or Control Panel an option to globally turn “Feeling” ON or OFF for every activity
Thank you
Oliver

How does the watch work with the feeling information?
-
@vjakub The feeling information is transferred to the app and available for statistics there.
Plus it is part of the recovery algorithm, that takes into account: perceived feeling, sleep, HRV and TSB.

@Egika as feeling means different things for different people, it shouldn’t take part in any algorithm, IMHO. And I think it was stated like this in the app before the recovery algorithm has been introduced.
At max the difference in your “feelings” over weeks could take part in it.
I see that the explaination for recovery gives an expectation for the feeling metric, now. So, we have to pay attantion to this, I guess.

@2b2bff I think that it is the most reliable settings when you know your body over any metrics especially because it mean different thing for everyone
How you perceive an exercise should in my view be part of the way you handle recovery and training load and I would be sad if suunto stop interpret it
I would prefer to have a 10 level of perceived intensity rather than 5 smiley…
But I do agree that a global switch to turn it off is a good idea for those that don’t find it useful
I mostly use rpe for all my trainings and once you know how you body work I can assure you it’s a really good metric -
@Josaiplu RPE is a very good metric, but feeling is not exactly that and there was a thread where one could see that people understand that quite differently, therefor any addition to algorithm does not make sense also in my opinion. (But Recovery is also kind of made up metric that has not much science behind it, so maybe it fits, idk)
