Hi @enriqueescoms, so tested it with a very standard hiking activity with one SA+ app enabled. Indeed, as @duffman19 says, you cannot long-press the middle button to go back one screen because this actually triggers the zoom in/out options. Only way out is to the right.
I also noticed that the touch screen was completely unresponsive (first time I notice that because I literally never touch the screen, just use the fantasic clicky buttons of the 9PP), but that was because of the battery profile set to “performance” which by default disables the touch screen.
I re-tested the hiking activity with a “custom” battery profile with touch enabled, and indeed the screen is totally unresponsive, but in the map view only – you have to use the middle button to get out of that screen. In the other screens, touch control works well.
While this does not affect me at all, indeed it seems that the touch control should be available in the maps screen if touch is enabled, isn’t it? For me, the behaviour with buttons seems “as per the design” because the long-press triggers the zoom controls, I don’t see what else designers can do here.

I think most of us would prefer the zoom function to work the same as it does on the Vertical - short press of top button to zoom in, long press to zoom out (this is already how the elevation profile screen works). This frees up the middle button to scroll forwards and backwards through the data screens, the same is it does on all other screens.

As for using the touchscreen, I think the 9PP should have the same option of “Map only” that the Vertical does. This would allow the user to scroll around the breadcrumb or route screen while keeping the touch function inactive on all others.

I’m hopeful that Suunto will fix these issues and bring the 9PP up-to-date with the functionality of the other watches.

How can I downgrade to a firmware I have stored as sof-file on my smartphone? Suunto app doesn’t open it because of the message that it is damaged or an unknown file type.

I want to downgrade two versions before the actual firmware, the pkg is not stored in the service menu of the Vertical.

Look at your sof file name and create an hyperlink formatted like in this thread
              https://forum.suunto.com/post/162301
Send it to yourself and open it with SA, it should download and install if no error in the name.

Sorry, but I don’t find a way to create a hyperlink on my Android smartphone. I can download for example the file in the URL

                  https://firmware.geo.movescount.com/production/Rostock-fw_2.39.20.20609-O-26950e90.sof

but I don’t know how to create a hyperlink of this URL and how to open it with Suunto app.

If you have a more detailled description I would be very happy and thankful … ✌

Edit: Solved with the gentle help of @sebchastang 👍

The update lost my Stryd and HRM Bluetoothed paired connections, requiring me to set them back up. However, I’m now only sporadically getting my Polar H10 connected when I start a run. When I go into Settings -> Connectivity -> Paired Devices, I see a lot of “- -” entries that cannot be removed. See this video.

On top of that, the watch seems to lose connectivity with the Stryd pod dropping power like the old Abit3 days. Here is a screenshot of my run this morning. Note the power drops to zero.

                        @atoponce I had the same problem (https://forum.suunto.com/post/175724).
To remove them, I try to reboot the watch (12 second on upper button), then downgrade to previous firmware but it doesn’t work. The “–” are still here. The only solution was a hard reset… Great… I’m really happy to set again profiles !!

@fondueaufromage thats the biggest bad thing that suunto isnt working at that! Its so hard that we could safe all things in the App? Custom sport modes e. G. I didnt understand this

@brechtvb So I just tried it. When no sensor is paired, searching for new sensors finds both. But once I pair one of them, the other no longer shows up in the search at all. On both sensors, after pairing, speed/cadence lights up, which makes no sense, and on both you can set the wheel circumference 😁. And no option for auto calculating the value…
It’s sad that such basic things don’t work with Suunto. It makes me think about going back to Garmin despite their other flaws…

Anyone else still having issues with the “off route” alert not working when going off course? Hoping this can be solved quickly as it’s pretty critical when trail running/hiking! Thanks!

@Krista.B Today I was running in the forest. I had navigation on my watch. I unexpectedly got off the route and the watch didn’t warn me.

                                  Hi everyone!

My Suunto Race has stopped syncing with the app since the latest update. It shows “Syncing activity” and then flashes “Watch update needed” for about half a second, followed by “Not connected” for about a second — and then it just repeats this cycle over and over.

Has anyone experienced something like this? What should I do?

@Eliseev-PA I’m experiencing same behavior with latest App release on iPhone 17 Pro Max. Before switching phones everything was working perfectly fine on iPhone 14 Pro.

                                    What phone are you using?

@Danny-poleg My Vertical still apparently keeps a constant connection (and constantly disconnects/connects when I walk from room to room) to paired bluetooth devices (HRM, Stryd) all the time, even when activity is not running.

                                      So no, this helps nothing.

Today during a hiking activity after 6.5 km the SV1 stopped displaying the HR from my H10 and hence ZoneSense stopped working. No oHR readings either. The H10 strap is nearly new and the battery of the sensor is at 90%. This thing never ever happened before. Meanwhile the H10 was connected to my other watch and as expected, no issues at all.
Was that just a glitch or a bug that I got after installing the latest hot fix?

@Highlands I had this happen with a Suunto Smart Sensor last week, so prior to this hotfix. Same thing, though - lost connection midway though activity and never re-connected eventhough there was plenty of battery life. I was able to reconnect the sensor after completing the activity and to other devices, so I don’t think it was an issue with the external HR.

Like others, I was also experiencing random vibrations on the watch (both during and outside of recording an activity) which I think had to do with the external HR dropping and reconnecting bluetooth. I haven’t had the issue in a few days after performing a soft reset. Not sure if it’s all connected, but it seems like there are still a few issues with the new bluetooth setup.

Edit: Another issue this presents is that once you lose the connection with an external HR (whether due to a bug or a dead battery, etc.), you no longer have any HR reading. I think the expected behavior would be to have it fall back to the watch’s optical HR so you at least have something. I believe this is how it works with most other companies.
