Intermittent HR band disconnects
-
@MarkusG in the next firmware update, sensor pairing will receive same major overhaul and hopefully that will get also fix issues seen with previous updates as well

-
@MarkusG Ok, so getting another belt (other brand) wonât solve the issue then? It seems like Iâll have to settle with wrist HR until Suunto fixes this. Disappointing.
-
I have this issue you described with my SV1⌠it appeared after the last firmware update. I used two belts, one was really new, both belts the same crazy behavior. In my opinion, itâs the watch firmware.
-
Update: Seems like the connection problems were not fixed with the recent update. Probably the best bet is to send my HR belt to Suunto for replacement.
-
@JaakkoK I had so many issues with HRMs on the last firmware. Todayâs run was flawless with the new firmware. I was not using a Suunto HRM though. I was using a Garmin HRM Pro + which was a boatload of trouble before. I also used the SV1 today. It might be the HRM.
-
@JaakkoK same.
My polar H10 connects ok and stays connected. My Suunto sensor connects then the connection âflapsâ.
This was a replacement (last 12 months) for an older Suunto sensor. I was hoping this update would fix this, but it does seem to point to the sensor being faulty.
Maybe a bad batch?

This problem with Suunto HR Belt is still there, itâs not fixed⌠annoying

@SuperFlo75 MinÄ after update finally works SO FAR. Fingers crossed.

Aujourdâhui, câĂŠtait 1h30 de vĂŠlo. Toujours le mĂŞme problème de dĂŠconnexion de la ceinture cardiaque (ceinture Suunto neuve)âŚ
Câest frustrant.

Nope. Today it didnât found my chest strap. Before start running I went to connected devices, chooses chest strap and couldnât connect. I disconnected all devices (well, strap chest only) did soft reset of watch, and tried to connect it but my watch canât find it. Strap was wet, on my chest, with brand new battery and of course connected on good side⌠Thereâs still problem with bluetooth

I had problems before with intermittent disconnects with the Suunto smart sensor and Polar Varity sense, but it wasnât to bad or long.
On saturday I had my first total failure. Started the activity, on the startup screen it picked up the Polar Varity sense and connected to it. When the activity started the watch lost connection to it, and didnât connect to it for the whole duration of activity (8 h).
The sensor was on and broadcasting over bluetooth.
This is a really bad bug. The OHR is not good enough for accurate tracking, and now the external sensors wontâ work. -
I also have problems with my belt loosing connection. It works for a bit and then suddenly stops and then after a while again it drops out. Im on the latest firmware.
-
@Henrik-Nilsson Suunto should put this on top of their priorities because it affects all watches (Suunto Run for me) and all devices (chest straps and bluetooth headphones).
-
This problem exists since November 2025⌠itâs a little bit annoying

-
I have the same issue with a Vertical 2 in combination with a Suunto Smart belt (new), and with the Polar H9.
Very annoying as the reason i wear a HR strap is to get accurate HR readings in my run.
-
Going to post it here also to see if Suunto makes this issue a priority to them.
I saved todayâs run to report tomorrow.
2 issues happened. Max heart rate much higher than registered on the HR chart and in the end I did a pause and the connection to the Suunto Chest Straps was lost when I restarted a few seconds later.
The maximum HR registered by the chest strap was 154bpm but somehow on the Max HR in the intervals summary many values of 170bpm (these are wrong) appears. Also it can be seen that the HR chart doesnât end. It was the pause. Unfortunately Suunto seems unable to solve this issue that affects all watches and makes all data contaminated by wrong measures or lack of them.
The data sent to other plataforms like Strava or Intervals.icu is correct except for the disconnection in the end.
