      At the moment I can configure my top and bottom buttons so if I long press them, I can do things like activate the flashlight or find my phone, but no such shortcut exists in Sports Modes!

      I’d like to be able to and make it configurable per Sport Mode (running, hiking, walking etc)

      For example while doing a trail run I could -
      Long press top button = show maps
      Long press bottom button = media controls

      Or for walking I can configure it so long press top button = Weather widget

      This was partly inspired by the Coros Nomad action button.

        @Steven-Hambleton Top button is used to access multi sport menu, bottom for control panel. Control panel especially, must be accessible without pausing the activity.

          @Squirrel What about long press?

          When not in a sports activity, quick press and long press are two separate things.

            @Squirrel said in Long press button function for Sports Modes:

            Top button is used to access multi sport menu, bottom for control panel.

            These are the long press functions. All of the buttons already have assignments for both short and long presses (with a few model specific exceptions) at the moment. I do agree that it would be nice to be able to configure specific actions per sport as you suggest, and it is a really nice addition to the Nomad, but there is currently no room for this within the Suunto ecosystem.

              @duffman19 Walking has no top button long press assignment, the crown long press moves apps backwards (short press forwards), bottom button does Settings.

              But yes you’re right that running does indeed do multi sports.

              So I guess my feature request should be to ask for configurable long presses per Sport!

                @Steven-Hambleton every sport mode has the top button long press going into multisport. Walking is no exception
