According to these articles, there are improvements and innovations we expected, but there are also many features that haven’t arrived.
I’ll install and test it, without prejudice.

Well, I will test climb guidance updates on Friday over a 100miles trail running race. I guess it will be a good test ! (Update not available yet for me, let’s wait for roll out ! )

@Gunnar I never had any major issue with any updates, and always had them applied as soon as released (anyway very large majority of users will have their watches automatically updated at night without even noticing and even having a look to updates notes…).

SUUNTO VERTICAL, RACE, RACE S:

New features:

• Support for pairing multiple sensors of same type. Sensors will need to be paired again.
• Showing sensor information, like battery level and name
• Downloading maps now enabled also without charger
• New recovery state widget to summarize your recovery
• ZoneSense intensity target setting in sport mode
• Improved Climb guidance user interface and zoom enabled between waypoints
• Passcode feature for securing the watch when off wrist

Improvements and bug fixes:

• Improved swim style detection in pool swimming
• Notifications show longer content than before when used with iOS
• Zoom range indicator on map
• Improved accuracy with updated GNSS firmware
• GPS optimization data is loaded automatically over wifi every night

SUUNTO 9 PEAK PRO (coming a day or so later)

Maybe we were a bit early with announcement, please wait a bit more.

Also: the topic is meant to discuss only things in the scope of this software update. Everything unrelated like “I expected my watch would be able to make a breakfast, but it still can’t” will be removed. Create new topics for such requests.

In fact, it’s not really a software update, but just a hidden stress test for SuuntoApp to see if it handles a big amount of users trying to obtain the update at the same time
