      Hello, thanks for your reply.
WIFI is 2,4GHz (and not 5 GHz which is not supported by the watch), Wifi is activated on the watch as well as Discovery mode, plane mode is off… I tried many times, and it still does not work.
      Any idea?
      Thanks a lot, cheers

I finally rebooted the wifi box and it works now… what a pain!

if you are lucky to have wifi enabled on the watch, then the rest of the config is done in the app on your phone.
some tips about the name of the SSID, without special characters, same for password.

@Isabelle-Licoine Yes, I have done a reset on the watch and I am able to add network from mobile app and download maps again with the latest SW. Thank you.

Still no solution proposed for this issue other than a hard reset? I believe it would be appropriate to release a software update as soon as possible

@fedequei have you tried to forget previous networks (if you had some already) in SA. Then disconnect connection in you watch, forget BT connection in your phone. Uninstall app. restart phone. reinstall app. Reconnect phone with watch ? and try again to add network ?
This may worth to be tested and will not need to reset your watch.

I’ve tried all the suggested solutions, but nothing changes. Is there a future release date for the software update? I need to download new maps and I’ve been stuck for over a month

@fedequei The only thing that helped to restore the connection was resetting the watch settings (nonsense). The watch was able to access the Internet (I can see it in the router settings). But the maps still won’t download. I’ve already tried everything. Both resetting and rolling back to the previous version in the watch. Support doesn’t respond. I’m shocked by such a service

@jakubedzior I had an issue where I couldn’t download maps for the local area while I’m abroad.

Turns out the reason was likely the hotel WiFi network has a manual authentication button to hit on a website before it lets you use the internet. The UI says it connected but there’s no indication that it can actually use the connection.

Went to a coffee shop with my charger and connected to their WiFi and I could download the map!

I should have realised but I’ve already factory reset my watch in the meantime 🤦

an easy workaround is to connect to the wifi with your smartphone, then use it as an hotspot

@Stefano-M64 I don’t think that phones can replicate Wifi like an access point.
When you enable Wifi tethering, your phone will use cellular data.
Gut this is still a good way to download maps if it is not possible to use other Wifi.

@Egika Yes, you are right! It (obviously) uses the mobile data, since the smartphone cannot handle both WiFi and hotspot at the same time…

I am pretty sure it is well working. I just tested, deactivate mobile data, just activate WiFi + mobile hotspot, and my SV is connected to this hotspot.

@Egika It depends on the phone (or more precisely, the WiFi module). One of my phones doesn’t allow this, but the other one has no problem with it. It uses WiFi and acts as a hotspot for other devices at the same time. Of course, with mobile internet turned off.

my Sony Xperia 10 III doesn’t, as I turn ON the hotspot the WiFi connection interrupts, I must’ve remembered someone else doing that

@Stefano-M64 That mobile phone hotspot technique didn’t work when I tried at the time by the way.

Shame I didn’t try the coffee shop WiFi before I did the factory reset and then I’d know for sure!
