Disable autolap notification during intervals
-
When doing an interval session, it would be nice to be able to choose if you want to deactivate auto lap notifications. Because when we are in the middle of a session and we hear a notification from the watch, we think that it is the end of the interval, but it could be the notification of an auto lap which is disturbing us.
One solution is to deactivate the auto tour manually at the start of the session. However, I find it useful to keep these notifications for warm up or recovery regardless. -
@Anthony-Guillemette You could create a new Run profile specifically for intervals. You can then set this to not use auto-lap and setup interval-specific watch screens. When you are doing an interval session, just select this profile. I do this for intervals and also for races. Any loaded workouts will still automatically pop up like they would on your existing run profile so no issues if you use an external workout provider such as TrainingPeaks or TAO.

@far-blue yes I know, this is generally the method that I use, namely defining an interval configuration while deactivating the auto laps.
But my need is slightly different:
- During the warm-up, I want to have the auto lap.
- When I do my interval session, I no longer want the auto laps that disturb me
- Once the interval session is over, I want to return to the auto laps for the end of the session.

activating and de-activating autolaps will be possible with Suunto S9PP, Race, Vertical soon.

@Egika thank you! Do you know in which firmware update version this will be added?
