Beta firmware for sync issues 2.33.16
-
I updated to official 2.33.16 three days ago, and since this update, the HRV problem (no value reported) that was fixed on 2.33.14 has reappeared, strictly no value.
Does anybody know if it is possible to go back to a previous version ?
Never had problem with synchronisations, nothing new for me.
-
@luke55 hmmmmm dont know. But think it should be possible like the Beta firmware here, @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos. Perhaps there is an Option to got the Firmware before?
And @luke55 you have Turn in HRV measurement here? In sleep Option? -
Yes, of course, after updating, I systematically check that HRV measurement is activated.
I am going to ask support how to go back to 2.33.14, other option is to wait for the next update, hoping HRV will come back. -
@luke55 thats really spooky
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Awesome! Thanks a lot, mate.
It’s great that Suunto has solved this problem and I look forward to hearing more about the new features that are coming.
-
@luke55 hi there is no change on HRV. Are you sure you are doing things ok ? Doesn’t the watch track HRV ? what is the problem exactly ?
Just FYI only BLE firmware was changed so your problem looks like a misconfiguration

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos
Thank you for your work! And generally, I also appreciate that there is more communication, some surveys and even some Betas now, a good new direction! I think many of us here are happy to help, if we know how and what’s going on roughly -
Hi @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos,
just like to share with you that after 2.33.16 software update my Suunto Vertical Titanium Solar doesn’t sync weather with Suunto app.So don’t have weather widget.
I’ve asked for support on support@suunto.com - [ Ticket: 7442314 ] suunto vertical software update issue, but still have no fix suggestions,
For you info:
Suunto watch software version: 2.33.16
Suunto app version: 2.35.7As of now I’ve made unpair watch from app and pair them again as well as remove app and install again and soft reset of watch. None of them made any difference.
Could you please give me an advice how to proceed.
Thank you in advance
Regards,
Dimitar -
@dynamitkov if everything else syncs, this has 99% nothing to do with the watch, but with the app. Do you have location permission for your Suunto App?
-
@dynamitkov
my weather widget sync as usual -
Hi @isazi,
thanks for the advise.It was because of location permission.
Thanks a lot.
You made me happy again.
Wish you nice day.
Regards,
Dimitar -
Well, I have the issue again. The same behaviour- one day delay.
In fact, soft reset didn’t help. Still old values on the watch compared to updated ones at SA.
-
@arooldaa I never had any sync issues before and since 2-3 days I have them too. Maybe cause I’m a Suunto app beta tester?
-
@Felix-0
I’m on the latest stable firmware and beta app
No issue with sync afaik -
Just noticed an unpleasant bug with this firmware. When I pause the watch (SR) during biking, after a some time (about one hour) it will restart itself. Not sure if it is related but I was wearing Polar HR.
It has happened two times already. Suddenly you just see a Suunto booting logo. In both cases the activity was not lost. Anyone else with this issue?
-
@vjakub I will try to reproduce. So just pause for a long time during activity, right?
-
@isazi Correct. I wasn’t doing anything else with the watch or SA.
-
@vjakub my Race has been paused for 1:30 already, with no crash. I’ll keep going.
-
I think 2.33.16 is in production already, since it has public release notes. Unluckily installed it on my 9pp. The result - unable to start an exercise (freezes on “loading…” screen), unable to set custom sport modes through an app (eternal loading spinner). Well done lads, quality software as usual. Why every update is like a russian roulette?
I bet it happened because of the fact that every new update erases my custom sport modes and because this time I had only one in shortlist this collision has happened.
-
@vjakub stopped the activity after 2:30 of pause. So, it’s either fixed in the new firmware, or there is something particular in your case that I cannot replicate, like the H10 sensor.
