Autopause options.

Currently, in most activities (except running, cycling, skiing and similar “fast” activities) the default thresholds are too aggressive and therefore useless. It would be useful to have the option to manually modify the standstill time or speed, for sports such as hiking, mountaineering, etc., change it from the current one: "less than 2 km/h (autopause) — 3 km/h (resume), for something more suited to this type of activity.

I noticed that It can happen in mountain biking activity when you are in steep ascent trail and the speed can be down about 2/3 km/h; sometimes the watch goes in “pause” but it’s wrong.
The @maszop’s idea isn’t wrong otherwise the speed limit could be set down for someone sport activities. -
Since battery life has impressively increased, I’ve not been using auto-pause on any gps device I’ve been using.
Fast activities (cycling…) would be the only ones where I could use it. But the question « where is the limit of speed » to auto-pause, even if we where able to set it, is still a very tricky limit I think. -

@Tieutieu A break means not only stopping on the bike, but e.g. coffee, lunch, etc. Generally, we are talking about long breaks, not pauses. You can turn it on manually, but in most cases you forget to turn off the pause.
And when it comes to batteries, let’s not go to extremes. Since 9 Baro, the battery problem is in most cases only theoretical.

@Elipsus Don’t get me wrong : I completely agree with this feature suggestion. Just saying that I don’t use auto-pause anymore for a while
-
@Tieutieu I only use autopause in the US, when running I need to wait 5 minutes at every traffic light to avoid being killed.
-
@isazi Sorry it was that bad!

@Brad_Olwin oh not in Colorado, I used it last time I was in Dallas

My Vertical activates autopause at a speed lower than 3,5 km/h if I remember right (activity cycling). Okay it is not a problem, because at this speed I must be walking and carrying my bike. This really only happens in the high mountains on steep scree fields without a path. Once a year.

@pilleus I provided the current threshold values earlier.
I wrote at the beginning that the problem does not concern, among others, riding on the bike. I use it myself.
My comments concern other activities.
Maybe read more carefully before you write something. -

Maybe read more carefully before you write something I didn’t return to your initial statement. My answer was aimed to @matteo_000 …

Maybe to avoid confusion, the option I’m thinking about should be called autobreak to distinguish it from autopause.
