Possible bug with backlight
-
I must confess that it is hard for me to understand how backlight/standby light works, despite the amazing chart from @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos. However, I think that there might be a bug with the latest firmware and I would like to know if the rest can replicate it.
For hiking I use a personalized battery mode, for which I select the 10sec screen off option. It gives me much more time with good gps reception. If I use that mode, I cannot have the backlight on. No matter the different configuration, there is no backlight if I press a button. If I change the battery mode to any other standard of de active the 10sec screen off, it works fine.
I noticed it today, where I was using that mode and finished at night and could not read my watch.
Could anybody check if it works the same for others?
Thanks

@efejota I read something similar already in the forum, but that was during activity, not outside the activity.

This is the one I remember: https://forum.suunto.com/topic/6577/software-update-2-16-26-june-10th-2021/161
It has been reported to Suunto and should be fixed.

@surfboomerang yes. And it affects the main screen after finishing the activity. No backlight available until you modify backlight setting (like turning on and off). But it is basically the same behaviour. I remember reading the post, but did not understand it properly, I see it now. In general terms I find the new standby/backlight behaviour and setting confusing, IMHO.
