Pause lock function
-
Some very annøying experiences lying in the bottom for this suggestion.
When doing an activity, especially hiking, I take some rests to enjoy nature. So when the clock is paused it happens that I unintended stopp the activity when bending my wrist or when getting my jacket on or something like that. The result is an activity that stops before it is intended to stopp and the activity is fragmented in several parts/activities.
So please add the function to the S9B that you can lock the watch in pause mode where it is not possible to stopp an activity.

@stefan-kersting hold the lower button

Hey, it works even in Pause mode
-
@mff73 tell me you didn’t know that…
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos thank you so much no I didn’t know that should known it actually
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos
i know that lower button does lock the watch, WHILE recording, but in pause mode i was like @Stefan-Kersting , i even don’t think it could work, as the watch says clearly that it is to stop the activity.
So, never too late not to die like a idiot -
@stefan-kersting now my time to complain.
It is prone to end the activity. Like the lower button can lock but also ends if you dont long press
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos
exactly, UI is not clear, or even too clear into saying it is to stop : red background, and “end” caption.
Could be good for UI designer for next generations of watch, to keep this in mind if they have good idea. -
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos how do pilots say when seeing the gliding path down to the runway? “White is all right, seeing red you`re dead”

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos I din’t and I realy missed that. Is it possibel to have that lock funktion in daily clock also?
-
There is a member in our forums that has it as signature. (no not possible yet)

+1 to that
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos well this is some risky design decision - to have pause functionality together with stop.

Here, in my opinion would be more logical that the single press of the lower button locks the screen and the long press ends the activity.
BTW, I didn’t know either that you can lock the screen in the pause screen…

@cosmecosta also - an animation in the same way as when accessing quick settings would help (if it ain’t there heh, I don’t have S9 ;-)) .

@stefan-kersting
i didn’t know for about 1 year either… it’s like a hidden secret feature… unless it’s written in the manual… but who reads that anyway…@BKtoo …a lock button in watch mode? sounds like a nice idea
