@Stoke80 Check in the Favero app the config at which timeout the pedals go to sleep. I needed to change this and no problems since.
Reboots only if I use Suunto + apps (interval training) but that is weeks ago…

Thank you. I need to check on that. To witch setting did you change there?

Strangely, my Karoo 3 does not lose connection. No problems at all there

@Stoke80 I have set it to 5 minutes but i have a vertical 2 which might handle this differently.

            Thank you.

I would assume Race 2 and Vertical 2 should act identically. Not sure though.

@Stoke80 Sorry, but at this weekend I was proven wrong 😞 After some 4 hours I made another a short break (less then 10 minutes, the third one) side by side to my bike, and after starting riding again, the recordings from my powermeter (Assioma Pros2 Shimano) stopped (power, cadence). I did not notice it as I am looking only on my wahoo bolt during a ride, but checking later in the Suunto app shows that at exactly this stop the connection seemed to have dropped and powermeter data was not transmitted anymore. My first two stops were even longer, but there were no issues, same at the second one.
As I have recorded the ride also on the wahoo, I dropped the Suunto recording and synced with the wahoo data, but some of the detailed data only Suunto recorded sessions have are now gone. But at least the most important ones are here.
I assume this is the already well known Bluetooth issue and I hope this one will be fixed in the next update of the Vertical 2 firmware.

Sorry to hear that. It’s really annoying when the record of an activity is not complete.

I really hope as well, that Suunto will find a solution to this (soon).

I don’t think it helps much, but at least this is another data point. I have Favero Assioma power pedals (Duo - SBI) for a while now (longer than the R2 watch). I have the watch paired since last fall (2025) and never had any problems you describe (knock on wood). Even if the pedals “go to sleep” during a stop, they reconnect when I start riding. So far, so good.

                    @MdzOtt

Thank you for that. Are you on the latest FW as well?

Do you have any Suunto+ Apps running with that sports mode you record your rides?

For example, I have the Di2 App enabled.

Maybe the disconnects have something to do with that (or something similar like that).
I mean the fact that you have no issues with the same device could mean that the reason for the drops is just a small difference in any setting.

                        Thank you for the info.

I was just wondering if the connection would persist, when no S+ Apps are enabled.
Just to find out if there is any connection between the issue and the S+ Apps.

But now we also have the new software, where we do not know if an improvement for the connection drops was included or not.

                        So two Options to test.

btw, I think the ZoneSense App is not necessary anymore, as it is included as “standard” Data in the trainings.
