@2b2bff I know there is no way of knowing when and if this new model would get released. But I don’t mind waiting a few months if it means I could get in on the latest hardware and longest support for software.

Then I would definitely wait to see what is released later this year.

@Squirrel sounds like a plan. Any idea if there are rumors of a new Run or smaller, budget variant? I’m looking at that for my son (almost 13).

IMHO a Run 2 and a Race S successor is to come in the next months. The real question is when…

It could e a good watch if it weren’t for

                1. crap battery, really bad after last two fw updates
                2. crap HR measurement in water, so for swimming you need a hr belt with memory
                3. reliabiliy. Mine is made in finland, no difference with made in china. After 2 years charging base died, lower button does not respond, even though i’ve always treated the watch very carefully
I have no experience with other watches, but this is at best mediocre

Are you sure, you are talking about the Race S? AFAIK all of the are made in China…

@2b2bff Nope first race S were made in Finland.
That’s the case of mine, ordered soon after release. Generalisation of Made In China was a few month after.
Anyway : I also have a high battery drain on daily use. 10% last night with sleep tracking ON, DND on from 11PM to 7 AM. Backlight to low.

@Tieutieu well, I picked one up on sale the other day and so far so good with the battery. No significant drain, AOD off w/ raise to wake and backlight mid, pulse ox off.
