As a gear reviewer, I try to use the device like a normal customer would. This means, if I have issues, I try to resolve the issues using the methods that a regular customer would have. A regular customer does not have a PR contact to reach out to.
Yes, part of my review experience includes customer service and issue resolution.
I emailed support-en@suunto.com with my issue and detailed my troubleshooting attempts. It took them 4 days to respond. Their response included repeating all of the troubleshooting steps that I already took and then suggested that I reach out to Samsung to revert my phone OS to a previous version that would allow me to connect to the Wing 2. (super problematic advice for many reasons)
So, I went to the forum hoping I’d get some help with escalating this as a bug request. Instead, I received unhelpful and frankly rude exchanges.
I did finally reach out to my PR contact, who then went to Suunto and they duplicated my issue and recommended a solution. I had to find another device that could connect to the Wing 2 and update the Wing 2 software to the current version. Once I did that, I was able to connect the headphones to my phone. So again, the issue was with Suunto out of the box programming and had nothing to do with me or my phone.
Again, a normal person wouldn’t have had access to the resolution, which is a huge problem

Looking into the specs I can see that wing2 is able to manage strength in legs by analyzing jumps sets
Do you think that in the future some running dynamic could be used from the headset ? (Like ground contact time for example )

@mountain_erin I have the exact same problem as you did ! If I understand, the only solution you found was miraculously finding a compatible phone, install the app to update the firmware on the headphones so they can connect to your main device ?

Can anyone tell me how the Wing 2 compares to the Aqua Light?
I’m tempted by the built in music storage of the Aqua Light but I’m not sure of the Wing 2 is the way forward with better sound quality.

@VoiGAS I wish they’d make the Wing 2 with music built in as well. Seems like a really good idea to be able to carry your music on the thing you listen to it on!

I just placed an order for a set of Wing 2 headphones, and a textile strap to replace the awful silicone one that came with the Race S.
I’ll be sure to write something up as there are very few reviews for some reason…

@Tieutieu I decided to purchase Aqua instead of Wing 2. I wanted offline music and podcasts. Seems that the Aqua does almost everything Wing 2 does.

Wings2 app doesn’t work but Aqua app gives audio feedback.

@Brad_Olwin I assumed the Aqua Light has lower quality audio over the Wing 2. Again, hardly any reviews to make an informed decision, and no retail stores to try them out.
@suunto get some review products out to the usual crowd so others can decide!

Those blockheads have probably just negated the efforts of one of their other departments.
This by the way has nothing to do with the Finnish customer service as I know it. I think however that Suunto should put people in a position of moderators and community managers who at least can talk. -
i am a suunto user, but my wing are getting tired and were damaged after a full cycle in the washing machine (oups).
i am willing to buy the wing 2, but I am checking the competition, what do you think about those shocks openrun pro 2 (hybrid tech between venting and bones)
both looks great, what do you think?

I am also looking at them, I was little afraid of the previous version which is having sensitive buttons. This one is having both sensitive and real buttons as far as read. -
suunto wing 2 has a better waterproof rating in comparison with the shocks openrun pro 2. But, the wing 2 are now ip66, wing 1 are ip67… shocks are ip65.
what is the deal between ip65 vs ip66 ve ip67 ?
seems that ip65 could be problematic under heavy rain
i am a hicker and ultra runner, and it happens that i am running under heavy run :-).i think, Ill go wing 2, but now hesitating with wing 1 because they aeema for water resistant lol.
difficult choice

@Mff73 Suunto Aqua are not available anymore on the Suunto Website. Maybe Aqua 2 is coming?
