Battery consumption high
-
@Chris_Dx seems that a restart of the watch solves the problem for a while, until I connect the HR strap again. Then the battery drain starts again and also the weird ghost vibration, which is described in another thread. That’s at least what I have noticed.
-
@Chris_Dx Try turning off Discovery in System Connectivity menu. That might have made the difference in my case because the high discharge stopped and didn’t reoccur in the last two days.
It possible that Discovery mode makes other Bluetooth devices respond even outside of activity.
It looks like the last update has turned Discovery on.
The last update has had so many issues! -
@sky-runner tried that and it unfortunately doesn’t help at all. This and also the ghost vibration is driving me nuts. Yesterday just watch tv in the evening and the watch was vibrating every minute at least 10 times. The it stopped. Weird.
-
@OutdoorMan watch restart has been done multiple time without improvment.
-
@sky-runner discovery in connectivity menu was off before the FW update and always off after this update. Not the solution for me.
-
I have lost 11% of battery during the night. Yesterday’s hike also consumed quite a bit. I just don’t know what To do.
-
@OutdoorMan contact support. It is too hight consumption.
-
@Tomas5 I did that and they told me to restart the watch. This is obviously not helping.
-
@OutdoorMan do it again and ask for warranty repair. You will be few weeks without watch but hopefully they will fix or replace it.

Monday 7:30 - battery 100%
Saturday 18:00 - battery 13%
Only 6 hours GPS activities in 6 days.Is this normal?

I also assume that my R2 has an unusually high battery consumption. The battery of my 2-year-old R1 lasts significantly longer. I’ve now started documenting this:
03.10. - battery completly discharged; battery charged to 100%.- 13:52 - 100%
- 14:15 (100%) - activity hiking 1:24 h; after activity - 96% (15:42)
- 19:00 - 94%
- 20:00 - 93%
04.10. (day without any activity)
- 07:00 - 89%
- 13:00 - 86%
- 16:00 - 84%
- 19:00 - 82%
