      Re: Surface time will not turn off.
      Hi,

      I was relaxing in the swimming pool when I picked up my daughter’s toy from the bottom (1.90 meters deep, took about 2 seconds). To my surprise, this resulted in a recorded dive and now I have 72 hours of surface time logged.

      I tried various methods to cancel the “dive” but was unable to do so. Is there a recommended way to handle these kinds of situations? Do I really need to start a “mermaiding” exercise every time I briefly submerge in the pool?

      It’s quite inconvenient to deal with this issue for such a short and shallow dive. I’d appreciate any advice or guidance you can provide.

      Thank you in advance!

      Best regards

        @aquanaut it is in the manual:
        you can set the starting depth for automatic dive start:

          @Egika
          I think this will not solve the Problem. Sure you can change the Settings, but as I know, the Maximum depth to start is 3 meter…
          so if i „dive“ to the pool ground in 3.1 meter it will Auto start Diving and I cant „stop“ or „delete“ the „scuba Diving activity“.
          There should be an Option to delet Logs like „the activity not deeper 5 meter and was not longer 2 minutes“, for example… also These „activitys“ are shown in the Diving statistic Widget and Fake the statisic.

            @tinten.addi it will solve it for the TO, who’s pool is 1.9m

              @tinten.addi Yes, I read the manual before buying the watch—thanks for the advice. The maximum dive start depth is 2.0 m, so it seems it was enough to trigger the activity in my swimming pool.

              Nevertheless, it’s pointless to argue over minor details. The real issue is that the software rightly prioritizes dive safety, which is good. However, in certain scenarios—like a “dive” lasting only 2 seconds—there should be an option to cancel the activity. I believe most Ocean users would agree on this.

                This „problem“ already had some posts in the past, thats why I think suunto should deal with it 🙂
