Suunto Run + New Strap

Ordered on 2nd june and delivered today! The orange color looks very nice with our all-black SR and RS
Having 2 straps for that price is a bargain, just a pity that in the package there is only one bar for the sliding side, so to use both straps at the same time another bar it’s needed. While the cheap price is appreciated, the lack second spare bar doesn’t make much sense to me, being so small it is also relatively easy to lose. By comparison in the velcro Coros straps I bought there were 3 bars in each package. -
@Tami999 It looks more like the website. Somewhat muted orange.
I quite like it, although the Power Orange is my favorite. But textile is more comfy to wear…

Not so easy to attach to a handle bar (if you cannot slide it on from the side).

@6iovanni Have you compared step counts on walking activities, by any chance? I think it’s counting a bit low. It seems okay on runs, so maybe arm movement is the important factor. I’m comparing it to my Suunto 7, which (to me) seems a very accurate step counter (among other excellent things).
I also think that the power saving battery mode leaves the screen too dark to see outdoors. And the lap vibration is a bit weak.
Otherwise, love this watch. Looks great. (Lime green. UK.)

I don’t use steps much as a reference. However, I took some midday walks during the break and the values seem quite reasonable. An underestimate is still preferable to account for false movements that generate steps…

I have yet to use PS, so I can’t say (btw I’ve brightness set to low…) . For me, the vibrations are okay.

Just wondering, how does the nylon strap handle beach environment with salt water.
I got the black nylon strap for the Race and I’m going on a holiday to Elba island for few weeks. Should I change the silicon strap when going to the beach. -
Me and my family have been using the strap during swimming and also kite boarding activities.
It is pretty fast drying - just wear it and maybe shower with it afterwards to remove salt.
No issues at all. -

I did it that way as I’m used to the Apple like sport loop straps for years. If you look through the photos on the ordering page for the different colors you see that they wear it either way.
I wonder what way it is safer to use although I haven’t had experienced accidental opening the velcro, yet.

Black version just arrived to me today morning! Its super comfortable and looks great, but Iam just the one that smaller (S+M) strap is too short, and second one from pack (M+L) is too big, and “buckle” hits my bezel when tight enough? Something between these two lenghts would be perfect. Iam using Suunto Race maybe thats why. With Suunto Race S maybe (S+M) would perfect for me.
