Inaccuracies saving pool training

Two questions

1. In pool training, the distance that appears on the watch is not the same as the distance saved in the application (in my case, the RACE watch Android application)
2. The app shows different swimming styles (breaststroke, backstroke) how exactly does the watch or the app recognize the differences
