Alarm Clock

I would love also to see this feature implemented I often wake up a bit later on Wednesday (kids are asleep ) and weekend have different schedule
Thanks anyway for multiple alarms on race, vibration alarms are damn good feature can’t live without -

I’m also missing an alarm for the day of the week.
I. E, for the T-Rex 2 I had set one wake up alarm for Mondays, Tuesdays, Thrusdays and Fridays. Another one for Wednesdays and a last one for the weekends (Satudays and Sundays). On weekends I sleep a bit more before the workout and on wednesdays I need to wake up earlier.When you have the possibility of using the day of the week in the alarms, you don’t need to care about enabling and disabling alarms the day before because the watch knows at what time your are waking up the next day.
It is something that should be reviewed and a nice improvement to have.

I’m glad I saw this post, as it reminded me to enable the alarm for tomorrow’s bike trainer session.

@isazi another thing for Suunto (if possible). This is how the wake up alarm should be:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVP4g1oksJ8
Very sort video but, just watch from second 20 to 43.This is how Amazfit sorted it a very while ago. I have used watches from different brands and I find this very clever, totally customizable and with very few menus involved while setting the alarms.
As said, not everybody works from monday to friday or even if you work, perhaps you wake up at different hours dependending of the day, but perhaps you are on holidays or perhaps you are an student, you work shifts or you are even retired.
I mean from monday to friday at the same hour, it’s just a part of the people that works and that is totally wrong and should be fixed. At the end, this is a “bug”, a design one, but a bug for many people.

@isazi. I was just remembering this. Everything points that next week is the awaited update and we know that we are receiving very good things.
I understand that everything is not going to be fixed but this is one of those things that once fixed, it will be fixed forever. It is a little enhancement for any watch that is coming that could share the base software of the Race/Vertical.
As a computer science engineer I can see this as something probably easy to fix, an improvement and with very little cost and worth to have a look at because it fixes an issue (if not now for a near future if possible).

@dreamer_ I agree 100%. This is a MAJOR miss. With my schedule I get up at different times on different days and I should be able to set it and forget it. And even though I am not a professional programmer, I am a hobbyist programmer and this would be an incredibly simple fix. I also agree with your point that this is a bug, and a pretty big one at that.

Another improvement, based on Suunto Ocean, if the alarm continues to sound it will be automatically snoozed after 30 seconds. We could customize it with an option to choose how many automatic snoozing will be performed util automatically dismiss it to the end. It prevents alarm sounding again, again and again…

My Race got an update yesterday but this issue has not been fixed yet. How is that possible?
I have a Garmin FR935 bought in 2017 that can set alarms for weekdays and I even remember than this was solved more than a decade ago (and I’m pretty sure it’s probably more than 15 years than Garmin addressed this).
But everybody but Suunto has this solved many many years ago.
Suunto’s wake up alarms:
Coros:
Garmin:
Amazfit:
Someone should have a look at this. It does not have sense when everybody has fixed it (many years ago)

Yeah, that’s outrageous

@dreamer_
it is not an “ISSUE” it is the way it is designed “CURRENTLY”.
So it is not to speak about FIX, but about IMPLEMENTATION, and then a matter of PRIORITYAnd yes, i would like this as well.
-
@sartoric lol .
The real thing is that the wake up alarm is such a basic thing of the watch that nobody I ask understands how this has not been addressed yet . As posted before with all the watches of the other companies, it is many years this should have been fixed.Everything is about priorities but this is really weird…Someone should say Suunto, hey please take a couple of hours to have a look at the 15 year old alarm design.

I agree with you that alarms should be improved and the Stop Watch too. They should, at least, align with the competition.
