I encountered this when testing a route for an upcoming race. I have a running sport profile with data screen for time and distance to the next aid station. However, when turn-by-turn is enabled the time / distance only shows to the next turn notification, not Aid Station waypoint added to the route.
I’m trying to think how Suunto could address this.
One option I thought would be create a waypoint type for Directions, and add another data field for distance to next Turn/Direction. So then you can still run turn-by-turn instructions and have them pop up to alert you, but in your data screen only see your time/distance to the next waypoint you manually added to your route (or if you wanted, time/distance to next turn with the additional data screen option)Would this be feasible?
I know I can just turn Turn-by-turn off, but in a race ideally I would like to have both turn notifications and time/distance to next Aid Station (not next turn)

Are you using tbt routes built with the Suunto app, or imported from Komoot? -

instead 
Implement a new couple of custom fields like “time to next turn”, “distance to next turn”, “time of arrival…” … to next turn
