Sync mis-match - can I edit the end point?
-
Hi. I synced with the app after a long (long) event, and it looks like the total distance recorded is about right at 312km. However, the end point on the map is not correct, and strangely the split timings all end at 281km. When synced with Strava, it also gives a total distance of 281km with the incorrect end point.
I thought that perhaps the first sync with SA was not complete and maybe it had only got that far, but assumed that it would re-sync correctly afterwards but after several tries it has not changed.
I don’t think I accidently paused the watch during the event because it was counting down the km quite nicely all the way to the end, and the total distance seems correct, as does the total time.
Watch is a Suunto 9 baro.
Is there any way to edit the activity to at least show the correct end point? Could I delete the activity from SA and re-sync it? Thanks for your help. Phill!

@Phillip-Morgan what recording mode were you using? The watch has a finite memory limitation. If you were charging during the event then you may have run out of memory to store data. On the Race and Vertical this problem has been eliminated as they have additional storage. Do not delete the activity as you will lose it.
I moved this as it is likely watch-specific. -

Congrats on Northern Traverse btw!

@The_77 Thank you!

@Brad_Olwin thanks for the reply. It was performance mode, I have never done anything this big before so it never occurred to me that it could run out of space!

I had a 9Baro and rode ride up to 600k with no issues. But I think the overall time was under 40 hours. (Audax ride, 600k time limit is 40 hours)

@Phillip-Morgan That is the issue and I am sorry! Nice work on the run! If you continue using the 9baro use ultra mode, which should give you 120h of recording but HR will be off. If you want HR use a belt and you will be fine.
The other option is to purchase a Suunto Vertical Solar where Performance mode will be fine for an event that is ~100h.
