As far as I remember, in those threads it’s said that the issue is known and under investigation.

maybe it’s not an easy peasy fix, give them time to analyze it.

              @Adamhert said in SOFTWARE UPDATE 2.33.12 - Q1 2024:

9PP: The pedometer works terribly. When I lie in bed and move my hands, it counts the steps. Let’s say this was the case before the update. A cheap watch measures better than this…
And during weight lifting training it cannot measure the heart rate well. I’m disappointed.

although I am not a fan of these metrics, it seems that the latest update has improved them, I noticed it because while driving it was counting steps all the time, now it is much better.

It is no surprise that you had bad readings with the WL, I always use a chest strap because with all the watches I used there were problems.

@Olaf-Gottschalk If there is an option to rollback to previous version, that’ll be nice. Or have the ability in the app to download earlier version and install it on the watch. Sorry about the issue you are having.

I wonder why the official version is different from the one here on the forum? Why isn’t all the information available on the official website?

                    Dear all.
My only problem with the watch is WHR. I can’t believe the metrics that i have. I’ve tried to use a gel but with no success. Any suggestions?
And a suggestion for me coming from coros. Please add just “running” option to structured workouts. I mean if a made pyramid workout, and every step i named it “interval”. This will be very helpful.

                    Thanks

Mw S9PP works perfectly! I like the improvement of the latest update.
Just a question…(after some months I am still a new Suunto user): do you always restart your watch after the update? Is it necessary? I have never done it and this is the third software update…for that reason I am asking! My apologies in case of double question.

@Adamhert Can you tell us why don’t you buy a cheap watch instead then? These are mainly outdoor watch. And if your main concern is how many steps you do during a day then why do you need outdoor watch in the first place? Why is it so important to know exactly how many steps did you do? Is there some awesome secret training method based on the exact step count? Can you please share it with us so we can learn something new?

@misu763 the watch does restart on its own to install the update, you are not supposed to restart it after.

@Zdeněk-Hruška another stupid comment form you. Could not resist to post. I don’t care about steps, but it drives me nuts to have such bad algo. Remove step count from watch if you cant make it work. Just a gimmick… Let me guess, your comment will be something like ‘is your watch making you faster/better, just enjoy outdoors’ or some common bullshit. Let’s all sell our watches lol. Rant over.

After some days of using the new firmware, I did‘t find any new problems until today. But I think, some things are not solved with the new firmware…

                                1. There is still a difference between HRV in the watch and HRV in the App Widget… in the App, the HRV is one ms higher than in the watch… every day 😂
                                2. Can anyone explain why charging from 7% to 99% needs about 60min, and the last 1% from 99% to 100% takes more than 30min? 🤔
I know, these are really little problems, but it seems crazy? What do you think?

@Likarnik You can watch the trend right? You can see the days you made a lot of steps and you were active and the days you were not. It works like this and the exact number is quite unimportant isn’t it. But thanks for letting me know your opinion it’s much appreciated.

Hi all. During an activity the maps do not center around the arrow. It drifts away and I had to scroll the map in order to find the tracking arrow. If I double tap the screen it goes back to center the arrow. It did so several times during the activity. Have anyone else seen this?

@helgonet12 you have the new ruler enabled. With the ruler, you move the ruler around and have to tap to recenter. Without the ruler you should see the behavior you are expecting. If you do not have the ruler enabled, well that is strange.

@helgonet12 okay, so if during an activity you open the map, it does not stay centered on you?

@isazi yes. I was in the activity and after a while I open the map to see which trail I should choose and saw that the arrow was way off and I had to zoom to 2k in order to find the arrow. I looked at the map after this happened and the same thing. It did not center. I will check again tomorrow just to make sure that I did not have the ruler enabled.
