SOFTWARE UPDATE 2.33.12 - Q1 2024

About Emojis and notifications, They are still very basic from a huge list, no color, etc.
And fonst are too small! At least for incoming calls should appear large numers and fonts as for example…when you pair Race with mobile app you get Passkey with large and nice readable numbers! -
@ppresing this is tier 1 of emoji update. It’ll get better eventually. As of why it takes so long - I suspect it’s because of utf8 related stuff and support for wide variety of languages which isn’t simple to implement if it wasn’t done at the very beginning.
-
With vo2max - I have a problem with how it’s implemented since I had my S5. I don’t know what’s the reason it’s being pushed for each walking (green) activity by default. It really should be user dependent in the same way as backlight, navigation or media controls are.
Watch faces - just leave the default collection and let users decide what’s inside the data fields. I’d like to have a current temperature as well as the barometric trend. I can’t do that because both are on the same data field, for some strange reason.

est ce que ceux qui ont (comme moi ) des problèmes de calcul de seuil lactique ont pu tester? faut il de nouvelles activités enregistrées pour déclencher le calcul?
-
@pilleus
I totally agree. New watchfaces totally useless and still no one with barometric pressure trend. I often use the vertical in the same way you describe and simply don’t understand why they can’t make a watchface fot that. On my 20years old vector I can have it… -
@gilou Je pense qu’il faut refaire les 3 activités minimum pour l’estimation de seui lactique …
-
I was hoping that the OHR tracking would be improved but this is not the case.
I’ve been sitting in the office for several minutes now, and when I take my heart rate with my fingers + stopwatch, it’s 36 beats, whereas it says 87 on the screen… I have to wait a while for it to become consistent with reality…
There’s still work to be done for the SUUNTO bug
-
Heart looks ok to me. Couple runs yesterday and today and no issues so far
-
@markusoutdoors there is barometric pressure trend in one watchface just fyi
-
@SuperFlo75 Mine works on 9PP fine
-
@GiPFELKiND Not on my 9PP. No difference. Still worse as finger on the neck…

What watchface has this baro trend?
-
@Frederick-Rochette I’m afraid it is hardware based… I have third sensor on watch and every one had different behavior. Only one measured acceptable. Unfortunately not the actual one…

What watchface has this baro trend?
No, not for SV solar as far as I know.
-
I found a bug on the original SV watschface.
Trainig time is only correct on standby mode. When you press the middle button you get the picture above (0:00).

Suunto really needs watchface designer, we have really well and simple designed watches with watchfaces that look like some gamer kid designed them. 2 out of 3 new watch faces are terrible. Those sharp and “fast” fonts are just ugly.
Map ruler is nice addition. I won’t use it often but it is good to have it.
Custom battery mode for race, anyone? Ability to turn off screen during workouts is a must for me.
Is this solved?

This one:
-
@Łukasz-Szmigiel this watch face is not on the SV solar unfortunately
-
@helgonet12 it is the original SV watch face, modified because the S9PP does not support the graph at the bottom. Not sure why on SV we do not have the baro trend, but I think Suunto is going to improve complications
