Suunto 9 Baro reset during my run today

This is the 3rd reset I’ve experienced during a run. Thankfully, the previously recorded data is present, but I didn’t notice that it had reset for 5 minutes while running (I don’t look at my watch that frequently). The only thing the watch was actively doing was a structured workout I setup from the mobile app. It was paired with my Polar Verity Sense HRM and Stryd foot pod. The watch, HRM, and foot pod are all updated with their latest firmware.
Seeing that this appears to be a problem with other 9 Baro users on this forum, can we expect a firmware update soon that addresses it? I thought the last firmware update might have fixed it, but apparently not.

@atoponce It seems they don’t even care to reply to comments about crashing Suunto 9’s at this point.

@freeheeler I’ve just had this issue myself; just about to start a group run, selected ‘Start’ on the watch and it reboots. Rather annoying as it’s a group run, so couldn’t just wait and restart; had to run with the group and lose some of the data.
I started having the issue with software version 2.23.20, and that was fixed with 2.23.24. Now it looks to be back with 2.26.8.

@atoponce Hello I have also send to them in finland and they did fix a problem and send it back and they said everything ok with watch crazy unbelievable they don’t fix the watch and now I have to send it again i this day.

And I try everything I also downgrade to previous version but same happen.

Hi. Today i had my first crash ever during run. Suunto 9 Baro, latest software, Trail running - Mountain mode used. Sending logs.
Edit: Well Suunto app says cant send logs ️

I hope you kept trying. I rarely got the logs send on the first, the second or the third try. But eventually it always finally succeeded, maybe 3-6 hours later.

This happened to me during a walk on Sunday 17th Dec 2023. I have just sent the log 73546542779600 to Suunto through the app.

It’s been a while since this happened to me but this morning it did. 4 km’s into the run I happened to notice the screen going blank. Like you said, previous data was preserved.
Rebooting the watch regularly seemed to help - at least for me - the crashes that were all too regular when beginning an activity but maybe this one’s different when it happens midrun.

Today my watch did reset just few seconds after activity start. Watch is 9 baro, activity was Trail running mountain, no s+ active. Will send logs on Suunto app (tried already while not being successfull, will try again later).
Is there anything else I can do to help with the problem?
