Suunto Vertical: Bug Collection

Regarding the measurement of power at the wrist, the data seems consistent on the flat but absolutely not on hills and downhills, which don’t seem to be taken into account (or else there’s a reliability problem).
Has SUUNTO taken this into account and will we soon have a reliable version? If not, this data is useless (as it is unreliable).
I used to use STRYD, which is what allows me to compare.
This is also the case for the NGP of the S+ Hill reps app.
Last question, when will it be possible to have an NGP field (reliable) in a sports profile? -
Today my Vertical crashed at my trailrun after 1,7 km while navigating on a route created with Komoot.
I hope the coming update will fix this kind of issue. -
Hi,
I’m not sure whether this is a bug or not. When i navigating the route the map doesn’t show any contour line when i hiking on mountains. I already try to zoom in/zoom out the map 500m, 200m, 100m, 50m & 25m but still didn’t show. Is this a bug?
In advertisement and some people here shared the map photos I saw it got show the contour line.
-
@babychai can you share which map is that?
-
Don’t know if it’s a bug, but I never get the “End of the Week”-report that’s supposed to appear on Sundays (not woth my 9PP or my Vertical). Is there some sort of setting I’ve to activate or something? I think I’ve enabled everything. I’ve set the first day of the week to Monday… could that be it?
-
@Ilya-Sul do you have “settings” - “activity” - “notification about activity targets” on?
-
@isazi I use outdoor map but doesn’t show contour line in Dark version map as well. I share below 3 gpx file from my hiked recently. All from Malaysia.
-
@isazi Yes. I get all notifications about targets except that particular report.
-
@babychai it could be that Malaysia does not have the contour lines available, I’ll ask and report back.
-
@isazi Thank you so much, Will wait for your update.
One of the reason i bought SV it’s because i need the contour line for my hike. Hope able to make it available. -
Not a bug as such (unless it’s just me seeing this!), but the SuuntoPlus Store App for Core Body Temp sensor says not compatible with watch.
Is this something that the Core folks need to resolve or Suunto?
-
@Ilya-Sul @isazi i never got the weekly summary as well. I thought this is excluded since on the s9b I always got one on Sunday evening.
-
@Hristijan-Petreski
I received it just now and recall that I’ve received it last Sunday, too -
@freeheeler yup i think i know the reason. With the baby i put do not disturb 20:45 and the report comes at 21. So i moved the do not disturb to 21 and i got it today. The moving to 21 of the do not disturb was purely coincidence but i got the report so i think it’s connected.
-
@Hristijan-Petreski Ah man. Why can’t it be reviewed like the sleep report?
-
@fejling Core and Suunto are trying to fix that.
-
I don’t want to rub salt on your wunds, but something I have learned lately is that it’s not smart to buy new tech right from the day it gets released. Let other users try it first, let manufacturer fix all the glitches that get discovered after large user base discover them and get burned… And after a 6 months or a year, you buy this same product, just now you have much better experience. Or you discover it’s not for you after all and move on to something that suits you better.

Yes and no,
If you want a stable, finalized product, yes you must wait a little bit.
But we are in 2023, there is no company sells finished product, we must learn to live with them. It’s like gambling, since I learned it, now I buy the product in the first of row, I’d see what they are doing after the release of products, I learned a lot from that.

GPS track is still offset by about 3-5 meters to my left for the whole track. The track looks really smooth today, but I’m still walking in front yards and or buildings.
Synced right before activity.
Calibrated compass before activity.
Soaked for 2 minutes.
Best GPS mode.Maybe Walking is the problem here, since it’s rather slow. But again, my 9PP showed me similar or better tracks in far worse weather conditions.

I am not sure if it’s a bug or if it has been reported, but it happened a few times already.
When I scroll through the widgets (mostly when swiping left) the screen gets stuck on a pure black screen, something like in between widgets. Then I have to swipe again to get out of it. Not a big deal, just FYI.
yes. thank you. known and resolved in current beta
