trailcafe i cant make maps work at all. Tried twice (here’s what I do:)
- Set up wlan connection
- choose region I am in
- watch starts downloading, app shows progress
- watch reports download complete
- when going outdoors, theres just no map on the watch, neither with or without workout active. Zoomed in and out and panned around, no map. GPS position is correct.
Any hints? Bug?
Have you contacted suunto support?
-
@ChrisA Is Navigation on in the watch and do you have maps on and a map selected (Outdoor, etc.)? Or scroll down from main menu to Map and select allow a GPS fix and there should be a map.

Good morning,
god my beautiful SV yesterday at 11 0´clock. Downloaded one region of the map: Germany, “Regierungsbezirk Stuttgart”.
Tried it two times, but there´s no map showing on the watch. Everything as described above. A bug? Or am I a little bit stupid ? -
You are all on FW 2.25.48 I assume.
With a former FW version I had the same issue but with a full reset (General -> Reset settings) it worked. Maybe try a soft reset (hold upper button for 12sec) first and have a loom it works!?
-
@SirMcKey same here, for me its the neighbouring ‘Regierungsbezirk Tübingen’. Is this a problem with the southern German areas?
Will try a hardreset as @trailcafe recommends.
-
@trailcafe yes, firmware 2.25.48. Will try a hard reset later today.
-
@ChrisA
please get in touch with @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos prior to hard reset -
I know it is not that important but do you guys have icon on watchface for missed notification, i dont?
-
@vlado No, there is a separate widget for that.
-
@surfboomerang does not have that much sense but ok

I had bug when I tried to set running power zones for the first time. There were no default zones set, only – instead of number. When I set all of them, none was displayed and I could not go back, because error was popping up, something like ‘you must set distinct power zones’ or similar (like zones were overlaping). I was stuck, only 12s upper button with soft reset saved me and after reboot there were problems setting zones. I did not take pictures as I said to myself, if I can reproduce it, then I’ll send the bug

Also missed call notification on the widget still no possibility to remove

Regarding notifications. Does anybody else notice, that notifications are worse than on your previous watch (9p). Sometimes the notification is lagging and sometimes it does not even arrive (Outlook, Viber). On the 9p it was spot on.

My S9PP had getting notifications for first months, and now I don’t get any notification, I don’t know why.
-
@Ketoohs Yes, noticed it once this morning. Thought nothing of it but I will keep an eye on it.

@SirMcKey hey! Following up from our FB conversation here:
Can you please do the following:- bring up maps screen (with or without activity)
- pan and zoom around
- if you get only the grid display:
Watch back to watch face
Connect to Suunto app
Send logs from the Suunto App
Tell me the email of your SA account in a private message and approx time when you sent the logs.
Thx!

If i select a map to download before i set a wifi connection, the iOS app tell that the watch is busy and nothing happens.
-
@Mi_chael make sure the watch is not busy
I mean that it is showing the watch face when on the charger. Probably toggle the watch state by going into any menu and back to watch face. -
@renton82 there is more years of this bug than the walking dead seasons
