@sartoric well as i answered you two posts above. 2 different chargers and laptop still same behavior. And as i mentioned multiple posts above. All chargers i tried with my older S5 and they don’t behave so strange like this S5P.

To be more specific i think it was samsung charger, htc charger, and thinkpad laptop.

          Oh,ok I missed it
I supposed you were always using laptop as power source

2 different chargers, and laptop as pover source,

Well, so based on others replies and support report it seems to be normal on 5peak.
I’ll ask a friend that has a 5 peak too

@sartoric well only one person here says it has same issue. So i am not sure if normal is right way to say it. But i have some knowledge on electronics and i see that this is clearly bug or design fault 😞

@sartoric I am curious what your friend with S5P will say.

                @Tomas5 hi

I think there is nothing wrong with the watch.
its battery is very strong. It can easily last 7 days with 4 training sessions per week.

@Ádám-Patkós i hope you are right and it will be ok. Two of my other suunto watch don’t behave like this. But i don’t have any other possibility just to use it as it is.

@Tomas5 you should have returned it while you were within the window. It’s not normal behaviour. Clearly a dodgy unit. I would insist o a replacement if I were you. Maybe video it and share with customer support?

Not sure but I would try these.

                      • restart watch. If no successful, do factory reset
                      • change adapter to old one which do not support fast charge
(ex. 5w adapter for old iphones or similar ones)
                      • full charge and discharge. Then, full charge again.

                      iPhone13 Pro Max (iOS), Windows10

                      Feature Suggestions:
1)Activity Planning with basic analytical function.
2)Basic Training Gear Management connected to Strava or Runalyze.

@Soojong-Moon done all of that except full factory reset, but i will try when i have a time to setup all again. Main joke is that official suunto repair center (hsh.cz) said it is ok, WATCH JUST INFORM YOU THAT ARE FULLY CHARGED, but even people here confirmed too that suunto watch doesn’t have message about charging complete. And message says “charging” and not charged 😞

@Tomas5 Mine 9pp doesn’t behave like this. It would be interesting to hear from other S5P owners how their units behave.

@skifun tried to talk to suunto using suunto app support. But lady i was talking to was not able to open dropbox link with video. So i reuploaded to google drive, she couldn’t watch video of issue too. I found out how to send it directly using support chat in App. But she couldn’t play it either. But she said it is possible that it is designed behavior but she would like to see video to confirm if it is really correct behavior. And she suggested factory reset witch didn’t helped. So i will use the watch as it is, charging it only when i am able to be 100% of time around to disconnect is as soon as charged. And i will hope it will not destroy battery in long term.

Hello, I have a Suunto 9 Peak watch. And the charging behavior of the watch is very similar to your watch. For example, when charging starts, the watch beeps and informs about charging periodically until charging is finished. This is a bit irritating. I wanted to ask if you solved your problem with the watch?

@Draner please make sure the contacts are clean on the back of the watch and the charger. I noticed this behaviour as well and it was because of dirty contacts that ocasionally disconnected the watch while it was on the charger. When it connected again, the watch vibrated.

Cleaning the contacts resolved the issue.

@surfboomerang I do not know for the S9PP but my son’s S5P has this bug as well, at 96% starts to beep and connect/disconnect from charging, if you unplug it the watch will automatically say that is 100% charged, so I think is a software bug. BTW I’m pretty surprised how well performs the S5P, despite its differences with the S9B, I’m also surprised with the readability of the screen.
