Turn by turn doesnt work

I also wish, one could enable turn notification on an imported track… But this would only work, if you could make sure, that an imported track followed actual paths. Since this is not always the case and you can import any point list, inserting waypoints for turns will be guessing and not reliable.

Thanks @dmytro . That would mean, switching to Komoot and importing my tracks from there, could solve my problem? (other option being doing it all manually in the Suunto App… )

@annika-i Yes, if you create your route in Komoot, it will get the turn indication waypoints from there and they will sync through to your Suunto. Has been working pretty well for me.

@Annika-I I also use the Komoot method to import routes and it works very well with turn by turn.
Some things to be aware of (and I apologise if you already know this, but if not then they may prove useful)…
Once the route has been imported into the Suunto app, you may need to turn on the turn by turn navigation part. You need to go in to the edit route section and the toggle is at the bottom, just above the ‘use in watch’ toggle.
Also, whilst still in the edit screen, you can see all of the points where you will get notifications. You can then edit or remove them. (I find that the auto generation of directions produces too many for me, so I will remove many of the obvious ones and leave just the key ones).

Hello, I renew this post, I use Komoot to create the routes, it automatically imports them into the Suunto app and then I find them on my watch.
The turn by turn option is activated in the characteristics of the route but I have no indication of a turn during the activity, I have tried everything, but nothing.
Do you have any idea what I could be doing wrong?

I never used komoot for planning, how does an imported route with TBT look like, can you share a screenshot? …if it doesn’t violate your privacy of course -

It doesn’t work, as far as I know the only way is to create the path on Komoot and then import it, but that doesn’t work for me either!

turn by turn works very well with my watch with routes created with SA and TBT toggles on.
the root cause must be somewhere else.
I normally get the notification around 100m before the turn. is that what you expect to see but you didn’t during your activity? -
Exactly, I tried everything I found written around the web, but no turning directions…

Okay it doesn’t work for me either. Is it supposed to work on S7? Not sure. Maybe not.

I understood from the webside that S9 and S7 should work with TBT -
It’s been some time that I used my S7 using TBT, but can confirm it was working well back then.
So maybe some bug has been creeping in.
@isazi can you report? Chances are good that it is a backend issue and can be solved rather easily…
