Sleep tracking not matching watch after update. Last night SA shows 3H 25M. Race recorded 7H 52M. Logs sent.

Encountered a bug during today’s run. I was unable to disable the Aerobic decoupling app, even if it was un-selected in the SuuntoApp list within the activity.
When I come back to the pre-start page, it still shows as enabled no matter what (and it was indeed enabled because I had decoupling values within SA after the run).I confirm that there is something wrong with it. If you even try to enable it and then go back to the pre-startpage, then it is displayed as disabled.
FWIW I dug a little more and the problem is only with choosing the first item in the Suuntoplus list application (in our case it was Aerobic Decoupling because it is the first in alphabetical order).

@MiniForklift the LT value is a feature only for the Race.
That’s a shame. Between the SR and the SV personally I think it should be the SV that has it, either that or both watches
-
@MiniForklift
Remember that both watches don’t have (yet?) the same fitness algorithm sources.
Explanation might be there (just thinking) -

Explanation might be there (just thinking)Yeah you could well be right, it’s just that it sounded pretty finalised in @isazi 's post. That the SV won’t be getting the LV value as opposed to the SV might get it sometime in 2024
FWIW It’s a value I’d definitely be interested in knowing and monitoring

@MiniForklift @isazi may know the answer but I do not.

@Egika This weekend I did 5X800 meters that I uploaded before and the guide simply didn’t work because before the intervals the warm up was set to end when pressing the lap button… So I guess it will work now ? (I have the suunto race)
This will work now.
It works! thank you.
Now, I we could read whatever it is in the screen between sets/laps, that would be awsome
-
So in good news, summary screen is fixed in 2.30.38.
On the flip side, experienced Baro Hole Pumping for the first time today, but I also couldn’t stand up in the wind and it blew me over multiple times, so that’s fair.
-
Weather forecast night icons are still displaying sun instead of moon (and current weather too).
-
@Mff73 correct, different providers for the health metrics, the Vertical algorithms are from Suunto.
-
First storm/extreme weather warning for me today.

Suunto Race user here. I had the same bug while doing intervals, the update didn’t fix it for me (suunto guides problem)… And I did a soft reset after the update. I like to chose the PRESS LAP BUTTON for ending my warm up and ending my rest period. Didn’t work at all. It created manual laps and stayed on the warm up screen.

It’s probably not a big, it’s a concept

Yesterday I tried to update my Vertical from 2.30.26 and it failed (happened for the first time). Then it took quite a time animating progress bar with “The device is being restored to a safe state”. I think at some point I pressed some button during that and I quite don’t remember how long it took. Anyway, Suunto was revived and had again 2.30.26. I’ve just retried the update and again it failed. Now I’ve been waiting during “The device is being restored to a safe state” for about half an hour. So my questions are:
- Why the update failed and how to do the update?
- How long does the “restoring to a safe state” can take and what if it fails?
Thank you for your support.

@asdfghjk
A small update from me: the 3rd attempt failed. This time I did watch reset (upper button for 12s), phone reset (so Suunto app was also restarted). Now I’m waiting till the watch is “restored to a safe state”. Any ideas how to perform an update? The battery is 100% and it’s connected nevertheless during the update. The update fails near the end of the progress bar. -
@asdfghjk Can you get into the settings menu and do a hard reset?
-
@mikekoski490
“Restoring to a safe state” was stuck for hours without pushing a button.
I did a hard reset as suggested and after that an update to 2.30.38 was successful. Thanks!
I wonder what was blocking before. -
@asdfghjk Likely the download was somehow corrupted. Glad this worked out.
-
@asdfghjk Awesome! Glad that fixed it.

I just came back from an overnight hike in the mountains near George, South Africa, and noticed the map no longer shows POIs that have been saved. The November software release showed all saved POIs on the map. The map now only shows a poi if navigating to it. Please bring all POIs back to the map
