SRM power meter compatibility

Does anyone have experience reading SRM power meters via the power pod watch functionality?
I have a Suunto Vertical, I’m trying to determine if I replace the batteries in a recently acquired SRM PM7 will also require me ot track down a separate read head other than my watch.
