How can I switch to power-based TSS?
-
Hello there, sorry if this had been asked before, I could not find anything relevant in the forums. I have indoor cycling activities imported from Wahoo Systm via RunGap. These activities have cycling power, but I can’t change TSS calculation in Suunto App to use power instead of heart rate. What could be the problem here? Also, on the same page topic, these imported activities don’t seem to use cycling specific heart rate zones for intensity.

@Alexander-Kruglov In my experience it is very difficult (if not impossible) to import data exactly as you want it. You are at the mercy of how RunGap exports the data and of how Suunto treats imported data.
Best option is to record your indoor cycling session with a Suunto watch as well as with Wahoo Systm. This is what I do with Zwift. TSS in the Suunto App is then based on power and cycling specific HR zones are also stored correctly in Suunto app.

@Mads-Hintz-Madsen I don’t think there are issues with export of fit file, but rather with the import. Now that I thought about it more, I realised that Suunto app does not about intensity zones as they are stored on the watch. So, app relies on the watch to annotate fit file with intensity zones. That’s a pity!

@Alexander-Kruglov All the manufacturer’s apps (Garmin, Suunto, Polar etc) are designed to work with one of their products. If that was not the case they would be delivering a service for free to people who has not bought one of their products.
Maybe I am not understanding your use case but why don’t you just record the activity on the watch in addition to recording the activity with Wahoo Systm? That is the whole purpose of having the watch

@Alexander-Kruglov known issue, check this topic. I sent @pavel-samokha some screenshots, fit file and so on. I hope he will have time/resources to check this out.
