Black grid issue

Hi, was not at Suunto for a long time but now have a Vertical 2. Unfortunately, the map (black grid) problem still doesn’t seem to be solved? Unfortunately, there was a card error at the address this afternoon:

A soft reset cleared the map cache and solved this issue for me a couple of weeks ago.

@MikeC30 thank you… Unfortunately, the problem has existed since Vertical 1. I was hoping that Suunto had solved this by now. Soft reset as an emergency solution I just did… Thank you

Black grid issue is back on my vertical v1. strange because the watch did not receive any update this year…

Black grid issue in Tromsø, Norway, in various places in the town and also in the ferry so not a specific spot. Funny the icons like bins are still visible.

In both occurrences I had black grid issue with my Race at 200m or more zoom, 500m was fine.
My wife’s Race S had not experienced any issue.

On my Race S, black grids occur at least once on every walk or hike. I have not noticed a change in frequency over several watch updates.
