      @Michele-Zago
      are you asking because you have this on your Race or are you asking out of curiousity?

      I have never seen black grids on a Race.
      I haven’t seen black grids in general recently.

        @freeheeler I think I have this problem in my Race. When navigating the map, during or without an activity recording, the map display alternates with areas with a grid and a black background. I read about the same problem, regarding the Suunto Vertical

          @Michele-Zago
          did you try to delete the map from the watch and download it again?
          or maybe restart the watch and let us know if it helps?

            @freeheeler Okay. In fact, I initially wanted to try downloading the map again. I’ll let you know, thanks

              So, I did some tests. I deleted and re-downloaded the maps I had chosen, but without success, as you can see from the images. If I exited and reentered the maps, the areas with the black grid were not necessarily always the same. So I tried with the soft reset, and now magically everything seems to work well… so, it seems like the same story already known with the Suunto Vertical… by the way, a curiosity: can you explain to me the reason for those diagonal black bars that do they only appear in photos? Does it depend on the Race’s Amoled display or my smartphone’s camera? And how do you remedy this unaesthetic thing? Thank you!

                can you send logs and login incl time, timezone and date? (regarding black grit, next time it happens).

                the black bar is coming from screen refresh rate as I understand. you don’t see it by the own eye, but capture it with the cam

                  @Michele-Zago reason for the black screen areas, is a close mismatch in screen refresh rate of the watch and sensor read-out in the digital camera used.

                    …and so there’s only the temporary soft-reset way, like the Suunto Vertical?

                      @MagoZichele no, the question was about the diagonal black graphic effect that is not the missing tiles

                        @Egika Oh ok, sorry. While what do you think about the black grille? Is this new for Suunto Race? Is it possible that no one had reported it yet?

                          @MagoZichele Same problem here. Sometimes it’s more of a lag when zooming, especially at 200m and 500m zoom level. The grit appears and changes to a map tile after 1-6 seconds. But some tiles don’t change at all and stay as a black grit.
                          I downloaded the maps again, but that didn’t help. After a soft reset it may be good for today but comes back tomorrow.
