I sometimes forget to click on ‘start’ to start the actual workout tracking causing a lot of missed time and tracking data, it could be great if there was a reminder (haptic notification or something) after a certain amount of time has passed without clicking start, also after eventually clicking start it would be great if the actual tracking would have started when actually arriving to ‘start’ screen and not only when clicking ‘start’ and the watch can ask if you want to start from the time arriving to the start screen or from clicking ‘start’ that way nothing is missed.
or even better analyzing workout routines and auto-recognizing and tracking workouts.

@yokrd just fyi this section is for the app suggestions only, not for the watch.

I would like haptic reminder as well. But sometimes I start searching for GPS signal, when I’m in the bus/train and about to start my hike: also to select the route, s+, etc. So I don’t want the watch to already start tracking the workout. But a reminder, even like every 5m if on the start screen.

@DMytro thanks for pointing the section issue.

Regarding the GPS comment, it can be a configuration in the app or watch when to start the tracking, maybe only after acquiring a GPS signal or not at all and just like you said an interval setting for a reminder

I would say no to automatic tracking, I would say yes to a reminder if you start moving on the “start” screen.

I don’t know - I think this could be of use and wish more watches extended it out - with the appropriate reminder when toggling it that will not be as accurate as manually starting activity.
But can’t see why can’t go the route of Apple Watch for example where you get a reminder saying - did you start x activity - if yes confirm to continue. And if you have started and are still for any period of time - a reminder that you are still tracking and do you want to stop tracking.
Could even add in options like if you say yes to tracking then watch asks to pause to get a solid fix or even show level of fix.
When get stop reminder could add option like resume later (turn off gps) for example.
