Why do I have to calibrate the compass so often on the Vertical?

It seems like every day I try to use maps im prompted to calibrate the compass, and It’s just a tad annoying I suppose. Anyway to lock it in and call it a day?

@Andrewx01 Is is possible there is magnetic fields near the watch, for example the charger will cause this. So will magnets on my pack that hold pockets closed if I get close enough.

Still a problem in 2024, software version 2.35.34

@mustaccio the number of magnets around me, though: that hold my headphones in their case, that hold the case closed, and so on. I think there are a lot of things to trigger a calibration.
