@GiPFELKiND most likely under NDA.

I have my notifications on and am not experiencing crashes. However, I do not use the watch with production firmware often.
-

-

Brad_Olwin have you reported my crash!? Sent you PM with all Details but until now no answer from you
It’s what I said why you need ask a proof, kek, the report might never be sent to Suunto correctly.
Again I would respectfully ask forum users to ignore statements where the individual posting has no knowledge or experience and is simply attempting to get attention.
Maybe it could be useful for users with suunto relationship to have it stated on their signature, so new users know who to contact and the procedure.
Even further, a bug reporting “system” (similar to the feature request for the app) with the status: communicated or solved.With the exception of @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos, none of us that have a relationship with Suunto have any “official” capacity on this forum. Several of us are moderators, which we volunteered for as we are willing to help and have a passion for the brand. None here that volunteer on this forum work for Suunto and we help here expending some of our free time to do so. Although we can report bugs or alert Suunto of a common issue that is best done via official channels. Because we do this on a volunteer basis and some may not have the time or inclination to attempt bug reporting from the forum I do not think it appropriate to list a relationship with Suunto here. I have opted to let forum users know via my posts. Some here may not want the forum users to know they have a relationship due to individuals that will hide behind an online presence to deride and disrespect others. I do my best to be honest here and welcome constructive criticism whether or not I agree or whether or not I experience the same issue… I am just one person and my opinions are mine, they are not Suunto’s.

@isazi fyi I never had any notification enabled when I experienced crashes. I do not use it as smartwatch at all (if it helps).
-
@isazi Congrats on your first crash 🥳. Lol I’m saddened that so many here have gone so long without experiencing this amazing (and uniquely) Suunto feature. There’s nothing more exiting than a good ol’ crash every once in a while.

Thank you for clearing it up.

Another crash… while running without playing around after 2 km…slowly but surely the vertical is starting to annoy me. It’s not so much the watch itself. Here I still see a great piece of hardware in a great design with a lot of potential. No, it’s the marketing and the software. I feel like a beta tester. I really wonder what the many field testers do all day? Or is it the software developers? Or are both of them aware of the problems and there is a lack of organization and money? Before everyone writes again that this is not Suunto or say with fanboy glasses “I don’t have these problems”. Yes, I also give this feedback directly to Suunto. Great surveys are started in the app. But does something happen? since release a hotfix? No improvements, no innovations… I can no longer get an overview of how many bugs the software has… Crash with Suunto plus, crash without suunto plus, maps do not load and are sometimes faulty… you only notice which exactly they are when you are in the area is on site, resource widget doesn’t work at all, scrolling the widgets is extremely slow, zoom level max. 500 m is impractical, map on the clock is only visible under the open sky with GPS reception… The forum here is full of lists of bugs… I certainly understand that teething problems can still occur after the introduction of a new product. But then I expect better communication with the customer and, above all, faster reactions in the form of hotfixes… Of course, other manufacturers Coros, Garmin do not have error-free products either… In the case of Coros, however, there is much better support and communication… I really like Suunto and I still have high hopes that the watch will get better and more reliable. As of now, however, the watch is absolutely unfinished for me and not suitable for the advertised adventures…

Please stop being sad person.
Why don’t you just agree with our great tester that SV has no serious issues. Just some crashes during activities it’s not serious at all.
Enjoy your life and have fun.

@zhang965 According to some here, crashing is a good thing. If you carefully search Suunto + you’ll find the box that says “would you like your watch to crash in the middle of your great adventure?” Be sure to check that box for the greatest Suunto feature ever. Lol just kidding. Definitely stop being sad and accept the amazing experience of a crashing Suunto.

@zhang965 Irony can be dangerous …
-
@Sascha-Domres
@zhang965 is pretty quick to jump on the statement from @Brad_Olwin - seen him do it a few times already.
What the beef between the two? -
@altcmd I know nothing of a dispute. everyone has their own opinion here and that’s a good thing… I can now understand that users are annoyed. Is it directed correctly? Probably not… that’s what I meant. Suunto does not communicate with your users and hotfixes take too long. Users try to find help through the Suunto forum, believing that there are people here who have a good connection to Suunto.

Yes, it’s what Suunto’s doing, they don’t make statement, but they let some unprofessional volontaires deal with you.
It’s funny, because volontaires don’t mean unprofessional, but they deployed unprofessional volontaires.
