Not Vibrating & option limited to just 'On-Off'.
-
@Sergei-Ladeishchikov Definitly for the SV. I noticed that the vibrations of my watch stopped when the battery level dropped to 12%. This was during activities and in watch mode. Once I charged the watch, vibrations were working again.
Btw…the watch settings did not reflect this. The option Vibration was still set to ON but no vibrations until charged.Funny thing is that the manual states this would happen once the watch reached 10% but apparently there is some slack in this. It could be somewhat confusing because the manual also states that the watch is being put in Power Save mode. Normally if you enable this mode also the bluetooth is disabled and some more settings like vibrations. But if the watch reaches the 10% threshold it seems only that the vibration settings is affected. Bluetooth did still work.
No idea if this is by design or that it’s a bug.
Maybe Suunto can change the threshold for the SV to 5% or so. With the solar edition, 10% is almost a full week of use for me

@surfboomerang in the manual, I found only a power saver that turns on automatically below 10% charge. I did not find anything about turning off vibration at 10%. And it’s not logical. Now my charge is 14% and I will soon find out again.
-
@Sergei-Ladeishchikov this is what the manual explains about power saving:
Your watch includes a power saving option that turns off all vibration, daily HR and Bluetooth notifications to extend battery life during normal daily use.
NOTE:
Power saving is automatically enabled when the battery level reaches 10%.And this is what confuses me, my watch stopped vibrating at 12% so I thought power saving kicked in early but I kept receiving notifications. I do not use daily HR so I don’t know if that one was disabled.
-
@surfboomerang But the power saver can be turned off. I turned it off, turned it on, turned it off again, as far as I remember, the vibration still did not work for me
-
@Sergei-Ladeishchikov if vibration does not work for you, you can try a reboot or even a hard reset. If it does not work “out of the box”, you may want to contact support because it may be broken.
-
@isazi I tried rebooting, it didn’t help. I have not tried a hard reset. After charging, the vibration started working and is working now (12%). Watch is SV.
-
@Sergei-Ladeishchikov yes, same for me. The power save option has no effect on the vibration when the watch is below 10% (or 12%in my case). Just charging the watch fixes it.

Do I need to send logs if this problem occurs again?
-
@Sergei-Ladeishchikov I can ask if this is expected or not, but during summer I’m not sure an answer will be provided.
-
@isazi The most important thing is that Suunto is aware of the problem and can fix it with future updates)
-
@Sergei-Ladeishchikov, @isazi isazi, @surfboomerang
Thanks for you suggestions but vibration still didn’t work after fully charging and also after a hard reset.
‘Vibration’ option under Settings-General-Tones-General, only shows a ‘on-off’ option, NOT ‘‘Buttons-off’, All-off’, ‘All-on’. Could this be a firmware version issue? Do you think it’ll help if I can roll back to a previous version?
Watch: Peak 9

Reported as a bug
-
@isazi hi! Do you think this will be followed up by someone?
No vibration is bothering me a lot. -
The issue that vibration is disabled when the watch battery is below 10% is being investigated.
-
@isazi the issue is actually: No vibration at all, even when 100% charged.
-
@Ashish-Bhattarai do you get a short vibration when you reboot the watch? It could be hardware related.
-
@surfboomerang when I power off and bring it back on, it did vibrate for a short while!
-
@Ashish-Bhattarai Great, hardware seems to work then.
Just make sure you didn’t enabled the “power saver” option and “Do not disturb” option".
