Sleep Hack: How I force the sleep mode to end
-
You’ve probably experienced this before. You are awake, but not yet out of bed, and the Suunto merrily assumes you are sleeping. Sometimes even getting up, showering, and getting on with your day won’t end it.
My solution is to press the top button as if I were to begin an activity.
If I don’t get the friendly Sleep statistics, I select a workout.Usually by this point I get the friendly sleep statistics.

After the latest firmware update I decided to try the sleep and HRV features and noticed some strange sleep recording behavior.
Tonight it tracked my sleep pretty accurately. When I woke up, earlier than normal, I pressed the down button on the watch and was presented with a sleep summary which seemed quite right.
The watch synced the data to SA and I scrolled through the data.After that, I stayed in bed for some longer time just browsing a bit on my phone. When I eventually got out of bed, I noticed that the watch added another 34 minutes to my sleep.
So I checked SA again and it still showed me the old values until the watch sync was completed. After that it also added minuten of sleep in the app.Does the watch still record sleep after showing the summary?

@surfboomerang
in my experience, of course still recording.
1 morning i woke up and go to toilet. my watch show me morning report.
then go back to my bed and browsing phone a while and then take short sleep again. i woke up and my watch and app show my sleep duration was added few more hours.
awake duration is quite accurate. SV know when i wake up go to toilet haha.the time i go to toilet is still under my sleeping time that i set in my watch. when my heart rate dropped below rest heart rate it will assume that i go back to sleep again. so i guess this is the reason why SV extend our sleeping duration.
