S9 is the top model

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos how about baro and battery management?
-
@slash same
-
Just to be clear, I think and from what I see so far, Suunto does not fragment SW.
Except the S3F the rest of the models are on the same line of features SW wise of course…
S3F is an exception due to the Firstbeat FITNESS stuff (not ahtlete stuff)
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos This is very good and nice from Suunto!! Lets hope this policy lasts!!
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos good to hear such
-
@slash hehe I can post screens if you like. Both my baro and SSU have all these thingies and some more great stuff to come
I think, next update has to be a big one, so it might take some time. (from my experience with Suunto updates)
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos suunto needs to speed up as many people are having races and etc during summer which is busiest time and would benefit from such thing a lot, I mean A LOT
-
@slash yeah but it’s summer pal. Lots of people on vacation.
-
@cosmecosta Even thou I do ultras, I fully agree with what you mention. With the battery management coming to SSU I think it will be good enough (at least as long as the price point is today).

It’s a good news that Suunto update all Spartan with the same function!
-
It seems that we continue in closed circuit … lots of ideas, suggestions, bugs reports but almost stopped… for vacations.
So, until September. -
@luís-pinto in our contry we almost do not have vocations but for me it is as well quite strange explanation for slow development, do they struggle with Human Resources? In current company in which I work developement isn’t impacted by vocation period as we share workload by covering each over.
-
@slash everybody have rights. No question. This is a confirmation that at some point develop of app stopped. No comunication at all. We still now in close circuit.
-
@luís-pinto we will see if waiting was worth with next release let’s be more positive
-
@slash As I live in the Nordics I can confirm that it is usual that things “slow down” during summer, so this is not only Suunto.
Remember we only have summer for 2-3 months a year, the rest is wet, dark, rainy and cold. -
@marius-jacobsen-eggerud same in our country with summer but you have 3 months to spread between team members. We cannot afford to let everyone out at the same time so all are scheduling their vocations
-
@slash yes, but it is still fewer resources available.
-
@marius-jacobsen-eggerud It is just speculation so tread this with grain of salt, we had some situation when development was running on few senior guys and if they on sick/annual leave we had impact of development performance. Now we spread tasks between teammates and working more in agile way than waterfal

Ya know, I’ve decided that Suunto Updates will come like babies come; they will be here when they’re ready, and not a moment before, no matter how much we yell, scream, kick, cry, and whine… LOL I know, we all want to see what the “newest” stuff is, but when it’s released, it’s not “new” anymore, so we wait patiently for a day or two before we start wanting the next “newest” update… Amusing to watch…
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos excellent, single code-line is always easier
