S9 is the top model

Availability in Greece is of the end of the next week.
And I have preordered and paid for it since the beginning of the month -
@yannis-belouris nobody likes the Greeks (bad joke I know)
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos Suunto apparently has no problem naming an entire product line after a Greek
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos I will start with WHR.
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos Or with strap? I’ll think it over.
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos ouzo is something from the nightmare

@Brad_Olwin first impression?
**bradolwin added a watch
SUUNTO 9**
US Time…will try this morning. Looks great, a bit thinner than the Ultra
Will be doing 32 mile and 20+ mile runs this weekend so good distance/elevation for testing.
-
@brad_olwin live photos please
-
@brad_olwin Oh yes! A B2B weekend…I usually get a good case of the Mondays after one of those…
-
I had some problems with the 24 hour race, the Suunto 9 did a good job. With WHR she does not put it on 25 hours recording but on 21-22 but everything else has worked well. GPS recording was also very good.
-
@kurt68 great job. So you switched to endurance ?
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos yes for 1 hour. Then I made a few rounds with a battery and charged. That’s the part where the pulse was high.
-
@kurt68 hmmm. So it didn’t last for 21-24 hours ? (With performance according to my observations and tests)
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos without a WHR with a strap it could turn out.
-
Can any of the users say if the HR belt works well, or if there are mistakes with heart rate, my sport wrist HR goes crazy and I want to replace it with Suunto9
-
@michał-muszyński take you’re pick: there’s plethora of Bluetooth heart rate monitors you can use! And they’ll all work with your WHR, saving you the price of a new watch.
(Reasons to get the S9: it’s new, it’s fancy, and it has that inertial tracking thing if you’re running a long way, but I think that’s it.)
-
@michał-muszyński how hr belt can be related to the watch itself, maybe cheaper is to change old belt with new one instead of new watch and realize that old belt was faulty

I love the signature you put for the profile

Now I had time to analyze the first experiences with the Suunto 9. I think the design is well done. The watch is certainly a good evolution of the Ultra. Who trains after heart rate should rather take a strap but that’s my opinion in all watches so. The new GPS chip delivers good values comparable to the Spartan Ultra. I’m curious if the GPS recording in the mountains works so well.
