Hey my watch today Crash after 1,9km biking 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
Have you sent your watch back and get new one? -
@GiPFELKiND I was sending logs and contacted support. After the issue was not resolved with the Hard reset and soft I sent it back and was sent back another (I do not know if it is new or no since it is not new in a box but rather only the watch (without bands and original boxing since I was told not to send the bands and original box)).
-
@Hristijan-Petreski how long time until you had the “new” one at home? How much time did you wait until the “new” one arrived?
-
@GiPFELKiND As I Said the whole sending and receiving took a bit more than a week. Contacting support though took a lot but I was waiting for their response although I could just make a service claim. Once I made the claim the whole sending getting new was done in 8-9 days.

I had read this thread before and reminded again when I looked today at the sensor of the Sunnto 9 Peak Rro. It seems I got there bubbles too. They are still quite small, and are seen especially over the “AND” because of the phone in the reflection, but are everywhere, the white spots. I have bought the watch just last Friday. No sunscreen or hand lotion. Just water came in contact with it, and soap when washing hands.

@jannis that ist really incredible 🫣🫣🫣 i have same with Vertical. I sent it back to replace
-
are the first two numbers of the SN the year of production? two friends of mine have the same problem. mine starts with 22 and it’s ok. maybe a defective batch…
-
@gi0vanni @gi0vanni the first two numbers is the Produktion year, the next two numbers the week from the year.
-
@gi0vanni in the example above: production week 6 in Year 2023
-
Got mine back today. Sent in 12/07/23 . The backside of the watch together with the gaskets and screws were replaced. Hope it’s ok now. Couldn‘t check it cause I‘m at lake garda and my watch is in austria

What is actually the official stance from Suunto towards this? Are they denying this problem? It seems their 2 newest (and most expensive) watches, the 9 Peak Pro and the Vertical are affected by this quality failure.
-
@jannis what are they denying? If your watch is affected, it is a production defect and covered by warranty, you send it back and you get free repair or a new watch.

Just because you see a couple examples on the forum doesn’t mean it’s a quality issue.
-
So you both want to tell me this is just coincidence that at least 3 people in this forum have this problem? Okay, lets say just a small percentage of Suunto users worldwide are registered in this forum. From those there are many inactive accounts. And then still subtract the users of other Suunto watches except the Vertical and 9 Peak pro. So yes, this can’t be just coincidence. It seems clearly that there is a problem with the sensor of these 2 watches.

Well, you can understand in another way,
If you didn’t see any issue on the forum, it doesn’t mean it has no issue in real life.

I didn’t say that. But I guess in most industries to be consider a quality issue it has to be a certain percentage.
If suunto sold like 2000 s9p and sv, 3 or even 5 are less than 1%, I would say rather an exception than a quality issue that should have a recall.
It happens, they solve it and done. -

I have the same problem as described. WHR measures very often total nonsense values. It is not reliable at all. Will send it back.
-
@AntoniusGaius oh my god!!! Looks Terrible
-
@GiPFELKiND at least it’s made with carbon neutral energy
