9 Baro does not charge after last update
My 9 Baro does not charge anymore. The last time I charged, was also the time that I applied the latest firmware upgrade.
I.e. since the upgrade I’m unable to charge the battery.
Also, Suunto Link does not see the watch.
Of course it could be the cable, but that has just been sitting in a stationary port.
Is there any change the upgrade might have anything to do with this?
- tried different ports
- clean contacts on the cable and the watch
- ordere a new cable (will arrive in a couple of days)
Well, it could be possible even if I think it’s very unprobable.
maybe you should contact support after you test the new cable
did you also try on a usb wall plug adapter?
you can let it stay connected for several hours and observe if something happens.
never heard of an update breaking the charging
I would try a soft reset. Maybe that helps. I don’t think it is the cable.
Well, the watch started charging again with a new cable, so I thought I had it resolved as a cable fault.
But now the watch is charging again with the old cable too (and I must have plugged and unplugged that ober 20 times before I ordered the new cable)!
I don’t think I’ll ever find out what the real problem was (temporary hardware fault or temporary software fault) but for the time being it is working again.
