Solar Symbol in the Watchface

I only see the flash sign in the middle… when I push any button, the symbol shows the correct status of the charging
What do you mean ?
Isn’t the picture correct ?You’re also fully charged, so solar should (afair) stop charging
-
@sartoric The picture was taken after activating the screen, you can see the seconds… the correct solar symbol appears after pressing a button… before there is only the flash in the middle…
-
Today, I tried it again… it‘s different than before the update…
I hope you can see…
This is directly after going in the sun
This is only after pushing the middle button and activating the watch face, without changing the place of the watch…
Last week, before the update, the solar symbol was actual without pressing any button…
Can somebody explain this? -
@SuperFlo75 would that not be the desired behaviour so the screen is not constantly refreshing?
-
@SuperFlo75 I do notice updates of the solar ring and graph bars sometimes when unlocking the watch but I also remember having read that the watch isn’t charging on solar as long as it has more then 95%. No idea if this is the case for you right now.
I’m at 81% and the solar rings on my watch react almost instantly.

Is it the same if you are in a dark environment ?
I mean, it is for sure some way to avoid useless battery consumption, but I’m wondering if the flash in dark environment is green, that to me means something like “the sun light is ok for recharging” -
@SuperFlo75 I didn’t notice this before the hotfix so can’t comment on that, but…would it not make sense that if the screen was ‘locked’ that the solar icon would not update until you press a button and activate the screen dynamic? Same with seconds…they dont show/change unless a button press is made. I assume this is a battery save thing?

yep, but then wouldn’t you argue that the watch is not charging even if it showing a good sun “strength” (and maybe it’s actually not charging due to weak sun light) ?

Hey guys, I think the problem is solved! As the battery reached 95% this afternoon, the behaivior is like before… when I‘m in the sunlight, I can see the charging circle… there might be another behavior over 95%? But I was confused because in the second day being a Vertical owner, I loaded the watch from 97% up to 100% in 1 hour in the sun… at this time, the behavior was different. Perhaps the effect of calibrating the battery? I wish you a nice and sunny weekend!!!

@sartoric In dark light, the Flash in the middle of the circle is black
