Suunto Beta Release for Suunto 9 Peak Pro, Suunto 9 Peak, Suunto 9 Baro, Suunto 9 and Suunto 5 Peak

I see that with new firmware, only about two weeks worth of activities are now stored in the watch. At least that seems to be the case with 9B. So are the frequent crashes related to memory getting full or what? And why is it so hard to get any comment on these bugs from Suunto that are really affecting the user experience negatively?

@jussim NDAs prevent some from commenting but some of us here will not know the status or priority of addressing specific bugs.

@jussim Experienced same issue yesterday (Suunto 9 Peak). Crash during the run with Aerobic Decoupling app (after 19min54sec of running). Warm up phase->evaluating phase->CRASH. Logs send to Suunto today. After the crash watch went back to clock mode and it took a long time to find the GPS signal when trying to start the new running activity.
Decoupling app does not work for me in general, I had only one succesfull use of it. Usually I’m not even able to activate the Decoupling app in the SuuntoPlus menu in the watch…select->confirm->shows no app selected. To find and fix GPS signal after the crash: It seems that helped to start the new running activity without fixed GPS->End and save the activity properly->Start the new activity - GPS was found quickly as usual for this second start.

My experience too. Though I did find out that if it’s not getting activated, rebooting the watch seems to help. But haven’t really used it, because it just seems too prone crash and burn…

@tomkys That immediately after a crash/reset you do not get a quick GPS fix is normal, AGPS is erased and needs to be downloaded and applied again (10/15 min aprox).

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I came across this post and wonder if by any chance there will be a round this time as well? (I mean I would like to participate…) Thanks!

10/15 min is the max (it could take up to that time), but, for my personal case, after any softreset and quick sync with SA just after, the AGPS is applied more quicker than that, and GPS fix is reasonnable.
So, yes, could be normal if not quick fix withing the 10/15 min windows , but not worth waiting that long after any softreset. -

Has anyone happened to this in the guides?
In dark mode, all good.
In light mode, the screen is dark and the data labels disappear.
I have the same issue on my S9B with the latest official software version. I hope it will be fixed.
Hola @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos
We know that an update for the new models will arrive soon.
Although the S9B will not receive new functions, do you know if this problem with the guides will be resolved soon?
Thank you!

Whatever happened to the Suunto 5 Peak? I installed this beta release long ago, and never received an official update?
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos do you perhaps know? Whenever I go into the watch updates in the app it tells me the update will be older than the current version.
