@NickK indeed! Also, the more I use activelook the more I also want all workout related notifications to pop up in the HUD, like navigation does. Activelook would be the perfect companion for structured workouts.
Though I would also like a little bit of customization of data fields because right now indoor cycling mode is forced to show distance and speed as null because my stationary bike only has a cadence sensor. I would love to be able to replace a null field with sensor data.

Thinking if this could replace a cycling computer for bikepacking: can you plan & load a new route in the middle of a workout?
Yes, you can sync and activate new routes from the app any time. Also in the middle of a workout.
Great, already an advantage compared to garmin (I know there are others!but this one is awesome!)
Can the app create circular routes on a radius, by X kms?

No, I have been requesting this in all surveys

Guess it could be a good “add on”/alternative for non routeable maps .
-
@André-Faria I wonder if Suunto can make the maps routeable with a software update?
-
The only reason I’m not getting vertical iz size… I have thin wrists and S9PP is better choice. I had S9B and it was just too big. Good job to Suunto on Vertical, looks like great watch!
-
@Dušan-Ković same for me but in addition I have what I need in my S9P. Maps and stuff is not for me.
-
@Highlands I suppose they COULD, I don’t know if they WILL.
Routable maps need more space for storing, and routing itself (as in route generation and/or rerouting) needs computing power, so while technically possible I have no idea if this is even being considered or not.

I think it is possible but it should not be easy. I think it would add up a multitude of complications/possible errors and need of computing power. If they add some functions on the app regarding that it is somehow “solved”.
-
@André-Faria @isazi Guys, thank you very much for the explanation. Much appreciated.
-
@Dušan-Ković I have also doubts about the size. I had 9 Baro and it was quite thick. Hitting it everywhere. Vertical is more flat though. 13,6mm vs 17mm(Baro) as Peak is 10,8mm.
Hopefully I get my Vertical next week and see how it actually fit.
-
I preffered the s9p over the baro. I prefer the Vertical over s9p.
So if you have doubts just order wear and send back. Or go to a shop. The watch is not like the humongus s9b

Are there any differences regarding screen quality between solar and non solar models? In this video the display of the non solar models look great, while the solar models look pretty bad. I don’t think the angle of the camera is the reason.

Hi all!
Happy days today. Ordered one and I’m and I have one question. I received email from Suunto welcoming me to the Suunto community. In the newsletter it says that I can create a Suunto account and get to know the features on movescount.com??? (the link goes to suunto.com.Is moves count coming back or is it just a old text that have been missed?

No. The display screen area is exactly the same.
The solar panel is just hiding under the outer ring where there is no displayed sacreen content. -
@wmichi screen is the same, I have both versions. However solar has the solar cell on top, but I used it for months now and readability is great. I have to keep backlight settings to low because it’s too bright otherwise.

@helgonet12 lets fix that thanks
