speculations and rumours about upcoming Suunto watches
-
@Set_218 this is all long known to the ones who wanted to know. Official even is around the corner anyways,
-
@sartoric I’d guess that text says “Rotary Mode” and may be a way of interfacing (zooming?) the map.
-
Few more days, few more days… Enjoy the weekend!
-
@jasoncuddy
To me it looks more like “Battery mode” -
@sartoric You know what, that makes a lot more sense.
-
So since we are speculating what do you think the internal memory will be? Will it fit more regions if maps are supported?
-
@Hristijan-Petreski good question…probably large enough for further evolutions !
I was wondering : and if map were also added to S9pp afterall ??
The range would be awesome :- big screen with maps => new watch to come
- big screen without maps => S9b
- small screen with maps => S9pp
- small screen without maps => S9p
That would explain why « new » S9b was recently added (black titanium version) ?
This is pure speculation indeed !
-
@Tieutieu unfortunately S9PP does not have enough memory to store maps
-
@isazi if maps are the only difference and other functions are the same, that would be great.
-
@dulko79 I think some more added features would be more than welcome. 5krunner is hinting a superb GPS accuracy…

I wasn’t able to find the information of memory avalaible on S9pp, but I tought it was unfortunatly so !
-
@isazi Any hint or speculation if the rest of the internals are upgraded (enough for maps, etc.) or same as s9pp?
-
@vlado nice…
-
@Tieutieu maps would need memory in GB size (like 16/32/64GB or so) to store some regions.
I am very sure, that S9PP does not have this capacity… -
-
Based on what I could see we are gonna get weather forecast into watches. Hope this will be back rolled to S9PP and fromer models.
-
@fluca likely just new UI watches in my opinion.

I am very sure, that S9PP does not have this capacity…Fenix 1 already had “hacks” that enabled maps. If suunto could come up with a “newer” version of that hack, maybe it would help: like just download a small zone from the app, and then delete it.
For sure it seems easier that it is to implement, but… -
@André-Faria ‘hacks’ are not reliable are presume?

came across this one
