speculations and rumours about upcoming Suunto watches

@DMytro actually Coros triggers a deviation warning when you leave the route, but will NOT reroute you by itself. Where Coros ‘failed’ is that, their routing in their new beta app does not work offline (at least not yet).
-
@DMytro I’d even be happy with the option to reroute using an external maps source like a GPS unit or (more likely) the mobile app.
Otherwise, unless the display is going to get a MAJOR update in size and resolution I’m very happy with the current state of the nav - especially with my active look glasses.
-
I think the new watch will be selling like crazy.
-
@Highlands i sure hope so, would like to see suunto expand the user base a bit.
-
@DMytro I wonder whether they’ll launch a bigger, X version of the new watch like 51-52 mm.

I dig the looks of S9B Titanium limited edition. Wish they carry over that style to new watches.
-
@Highlands One of the best looking devices out there! I almost bought a second one already owning the Ambassador Edition (which is another best looking device imo)
-
@Hristijan-Petreski The Ambassador has a freaking terrific design.

I couldn’t get excited about the S9P or S9PP, but I am for this release. I think I am probably going to get in on the action, although with me being in NZ that will likely mean I’ll be able to purchase in about 5 years time lol
-
A Facebook post from a French magazine, mentions a test of the new watch:
I’m not sure if we can derive the release date based on this information tidbit.
-
I wonder if we’ll have a special event like the one we had from suunto when the S9p was revealed ! Considering the huge expactations, I’m surprised there si no announcement/teasing yet !
-
Just came across a picture. I like better the simpler design of S9PP which I own. I also have seen new compelling watch faces that hopefully will be ported also in the older watch.

I’ve been really intrigued as I haven’t been able to see any of the pics, 5mins or so hunting on the interwebs and I’ve found what I was looking for. Yesssss, I like the look of this a lot and I think there’s going to be a preorder with my name on it

I bet so, most rumors/leaks have been deleted, so I guess Suunto is preparing something nice for the launch.

@André-Faria !l! Have a look at Alpine Mag on FB. A guy states he’s hang gliding, testing the new Suunto Vertical…. Not exactly a leak of it’s on a web page now. Must be coming very soon now!

I’m super excited to see the SV launch! But given what I’ve seen so far I’m likely not a potential customer. For me a transformational change has been the size of the S9PP (over the A3P I used) and I’m loving that I can wear it 24/7 on my thinner wrists. Previously I’d switch between a fitness tracker and the A3P, but I love the S9PP because “the best watch is the one you have with you”. If the ~49 mm case for the Vertical is true then it’s likely bigger than what I’d like to have all the time on my smaller wrists.
I imagine the SV fills a slightly different role and more focused on the active experience with the larger screen than convenient size for 24/7. I hope there’s a miniaturized SV in a case size closer to the S9PP that’ll be available in some time. Something along what Garmin and others do with different size offerings.
In the past I’ve tried to keep big watch/phone purchases last 3-5 years so I’m likely out of the market, but if a miniaturized version of the SV was on the horizon then the used watch market will have an S9PP available
I also have seen new compelling watch faces that hopefully will be ported also in the older watch.
Honestly, I’m waiting for a cleaner analog face that also displays daylight hours on the S9PP. Added this to the surveys too. -

Some people said in 3 days, others in mid may…
I think Suunto wants to do a proper launch with stock on stores (which was not the case for garmin with the recent models, having 3 weeks of delay).
I think it’s a nice move.
Suunto Spain also leaked some pics of a gravel bike athlete with it, but they deleted it some time after. -

Added this to the surveys too.In the S9P they did an awesome job regarding confort, and it was not only about size and weight. I had garmins with similar size and weight that were not as comfortable as the s9p, so maybe they arrive to do it on the SV.
Also for those seeking small watches they have the s9pp, ok it doesn’t have maps nor solar, but I guess it’s Suunto’s “affirmation” of doing only things that work, and for those you may need a bigger watch. -
@André-Faria do you mean the picture in the bottom of this FB post?

@Theo-Lakerveld nope.
It was this one but showing the watch. They edited it.
